Yes it is but I thought we were talking past tense, PPV and SKY are killing the strong, potential boxing landscape in Britain IMHO.

The problem is Warren. Calzaghe would take it but Warren....he probably wont. He is a **** remember.

Yup, that sounds at least like as much money or close as to what PBF got to fight ODH.

What say you, sean...is this the fight you want for Joe C?

Is there one that would add more to his legacy, rather than just to his resume? (A live, prime opponent?)

    its a money fight

    pure and simple.

legacy wise i think calzaghe is in a no win situation regarding this fight.

but money wise it makes complete sense.

the fight itself if it takes place will not be a spectacle and will be a real spoiler .

Hatton's fights on Sky are always PPV.

That's more than a fair deal. He should take it.

Thanks, sean...so no win over any opponent out there at 175 would contribute to his legacy as much as Hopkins? Or is it that the difference is minimal, so he should take the vastly superior money involved in THIS one?:think

If GBP are promoting it then **** knows.

They'll probably sell it to Sky and have it on PPV. More cash :/

Financially Joe's eyes will be lighting up at the moment. If Warren dose turn it down he'd better be in a different country from Calzaghe!:D

However from a resume point of view its ****. Joe will get nothing but (a ****ing **** load of) money from this bout. I'd much rather see him against Dawson or even Woods. But thats obviously not going to happen anytime soon.

$16million is good enough and it should be enough for two guys to decide who's the best of their era and at the global level. But if Joe goes for Roy in Cardiff, then he was just talkin and makin us lose time, people should acknowledge that ****! I say Joe doesn't sign and makes some believe Bernard "avoided" him- for ****sake!?!
