Dmitrii Alexandrovich Chudinov vs. Patrick Mendy II

Denmark has not been kind to Dmitrii.

 

Patrick Mendy only has 1 knockout-victory, but during the last rounds he actually went for the knockout. He really looked sharp tonight. Dmitrii Chudinov looked out of shape and never found his rhythm, plus his left eye was closing in the second half of the fight, which probably made it difficult for him to focus and land his punches.

Danish fighter Jeppe Morell is perhaps the biggest loser tonight, because he was supposed to fight Chudinov but pulled out due to some problems in the training camp. Based on Chudinovs performance tonight, it would have been the perfect night for Morell to face the Russian. Mendy will most likely be invited back, but I think Morell, a physical strong fighter, will have a harder time with Mendys movements, quick hands and more technical style.

If Patrick Mendy, who is still without a promotor, had started his boxing career with a good promotor, he would probably have gotten much further.
