It's not Beterbiev's fault that the division is weak,,,but it is weak . Yaqui Lopez would have battered the living #$@ out of the guys Beterbiev has fought. And he literally has no signature wins or a long title reign to qualify as an all time great . That's just the way it is...

You can only be judged by your peers and Beterbiev has the chance to show if he has the goods or not on 1st June.

I consider him a modern great and potentially an ATG (not GOAT).

Same here. The division is also not weak. He's done everything that could have been asked of him in the time he's been fighting at LHW.

    I agree

The division is not weak at all and Bivol showed exactly how big the gap was between LHW and what we consider a modern ATG in (admittedly undersized) Canelo.

If we are using Canelo and Gvozdyk as yardsticks then it's safe to say that both Bivol and Beterbiev would be pretty handy no matter what era they would have fought in.

    Also *troll mode*

    Beterbiev > Gvozdyk > Stevenson > Bellew > Haye > Valuev > Holyfield > Tyson > Holmes > Ali

Strange thing is that on this very forum not so long ago some predicted Canelo against Beterbiev in a hypothetical fight.

Now the dominant narrative is that Bivol will get KOed by Beterbiev.

You say Canelo was undersized against Bivol ?? No he was just shorter due to his stumpy short legs
on weigh in, Bivol was only 4 oz heavier than Ginger Id lay odds Canelo was heavier fight night. Plus Canelo said he would rematch Bivol at 175 not 168 lol. Ginger has ALWAYS been a weight bully. Bivol whupped his butt because he was a far superior fighter he schooled the Ginger fraud. Bivol took his soul with that beating & the Ginger one will NEVER face Bivol again, or Benavidez, or Beterbiev. He has been exposed. The Vegas judges & the State Commission were the reason Ginger looked special NOT his talent. I hope & pray Jaime Munguia gets a fair crack of the whip in Vegas but no way would I believe it will happen All I'll say is !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAR MUNGUIA !!!!!!!!!!!!! give Ginger a beating like Bivol did I hopefully he'll retire

Shadow predicts Canelo over everybody. :deal:

Forum consensus is that Beterbiev would send Canelo to the shadow realm.

My opinion on the coming fight: Bivol on points or Beterbiev by late KO. I'm actually leaning Bivol but idc who wins both these guys are fantastic fighters.

Before Canelo fights Bivol and after he KOed Kovalev I recall a different narrative. But the point is, how can a fantastic boxer, an established champion with great mobility who can easily go 12 rounds without showing any signs of fatigue, be favored to lose by knockout to a 40 year old puncher? The reasoning seems to be that Bivol could run out of gas in the late rounds, or he is stupid enough to mix it up with Beterbiev, or he has a glass chin. However, there's no evidence of this in his past fights.

Beterbiev would need to be the GOAT and simply too much for anyone in this weight class to fit the current predictions.
