Both could've fought better. It would be a better fight at 168 for Undisputed.

    Floyd told everyone, multiple times...
    Smoke, mirrors, PEDs and judges.

The same limited fighter that was schooled by Mayweather - just a bigger, stronger version. :squezer:

Of course you want the rematch at 168. Bivol could probably make it if he tried, but he would put himself at risk of being drained. We all saw what happened to Dawson.

I've no problem with Bivol Dmitry relieving Clen of all his belts at 168 but Clen has to understand that Bivol Dmitry is the money man now and he's calling the shots. Bivol Dmitry is not happy about the way Clen treated him and his Eurasian brother Golovkin Gennady and word on the street is he wants Clen vs Golovkin Gennady as the chief support on his undercard for his next defence.

Dawson had a harder time making 168 than Bivol would.

Well then lets see how bad Bivol wants those belts. And what did Canelo to do Bivol or to GGG that could possibly be construed as not treating them well. Oh, well in GGG's case I guess beating him like a piñata over 24 rounds probably left a bad taste in GGG's mouth. But hey bring on the trilogy, I know GGG's desperate for another pey dey but does he really want that work? GGG was so humiliated after the beating he received in the rematch. I know he's never gotten over that and must be desperate for revenge.

Had to leave around the 8th round rewatching the fight can see the point thought Bivol took it 9-3 maybe 8-4 at a stretch, credit to Canelo for trying to be great but weight classes exist for a reason

You know what he did to them.

We might never get to see an old past/way past prime/semi shot GGG beat his surrogate ginger son for a third time now because, providing Bivol Dmitry decides to grant Clen a rematch, he's going to beat that ass even worse than he did last night. The supposed P4P king couldn't penetrate his defence all night sans the odd shot here and there and when Bivol Dmitry started letting the rapid combinations fly in the middle rounds Clen looked completely clueless and bereft of ideas. He had the exact same oh poop! expression etched across his visage as he did when GGG barely blinked after Clen landed that Clenbuterol bomb from hell on his titanium jaw.

The little odd shot here and there, like those massive uppers with Bivol against the ropes in rounds 1-4 that rattled his cage. Bivol felt those and knew he was in with the best in the fight of his life. Yeah besides Canelo landing about 30 more body shots and those brutal uppercuts, sure. Hey, Bivol got his stuff together after those wake up calls in rounds 1-4 and he picked it up in rounds 5-12, besides round 9 of course when Canelo put it on him again.

I mean, brag all you want that Canelo lost, but that was a hell of a fight those two gave us on Saturday. Both fighters deserve credit for the punishment they dished out. You don't see me complaining about the decision, Bivol deserved victory, but man what a war that was. Who wouldn't want to see that again. If Bivol can make 168 and go for Undisputed, count me in. If not, have it again at 175. Canelo and Bivol's styles clashed perfectly. It was an awesome fight I think you'd agree. But don't just pile on Canelo for losing, give the man some props for taking that kind of a risk and making such a great fight.

I still think Canelo is a good boxer. He just got beaten by a bigger good boxer.

Also, how did you get a picture of Shadow for your avatar?

Nothing rattled his cage and even the rare shots that managed to slip through he guard did zero damage. It was arm and glove pie all night for Clen. Never seen so many blocked punches in a fight before.

I wouldn't say it was an awesome fight. A good fight and an awesome amount of satisfaction at seeing Bivol win.

I haven't been bragging really and gave Clen credit. I give fighters like him, Loma, and Usyk and handful of others credit for taking the risks they do at the higher weights because many of their celebrated peers are leprechaun bashing and being praised to high heaven for doing so.

Canelo outlanded Bivol significantly to the body and was the only one of the two who landed uppercuts. Did Bivol land any uppercuts? Lots of the arm punches by Canelo probably weren't credited by Compubox but they certainly caused damage. Bivol couldn't even lift his belt after the match his arm was so sore lol.
By both fighters. Canelo was blocking really well early on as was Bivol. Look at the compubox connect %s. 17% and 21.4% that's very low for both. Canelo's problem was his normally active guard and good defense that we saw early in the fight didn't last, by the 2nd half of the fight he was gassing and wasn't as defensively responsble allowing Bivol to land some good shots on him down the stretch. But in a rematch I think Canelo could remedy that problem pace himself a little better and not let Bivol land the kind of shots he did and continue the success he was having in the early rounds with a steady dose of body shots, big uppers, and maybe more jabs.
The difference is that for me, I just want to see a great fight, I could care less who won as long as I see a great fight. I get that you are happy that Bivol won, and I am too but for me it's not really about that. Like when Canelo beat GGG, yeah it was satisfying as I like Canelo more than GGG but more than that I was just happy that the fight delivered a classic for the fans. That's all it's ever been about for me, seeing great fights and showing respect to the fighters.
Agreed, and fair play to anyone who takes risks like Canelo. And yes to an extent Loma and Usyk. But Canelo has taken far bigger risks than Loma and Usyk which is why I'm as big of a fan of him as I am. But to your point, to a lesser extent I agree Loma and Usyk have taken bigger risks than most others, like Charlo, Bud etc. So I agree with you on that.

I stopped reading at ''to an extent'' and I only only scanned through the rest with one eye open and my brain on standby mode because you write novels and have a tendency to talk nonsense regarding anything Clenelo related
