Yup, this is the very definition of a not-long-John fight.

Romanov should win this if he's going anywhere and while Kudryashov may have a puncher's chance, I'd expect Evgeny to stop him in 5 or 6 rounds.

Wow, this is probably the most one-sided poll in the history of this forum - as of writing, all 19 votes on Romanov by stoppage. Rightly so, but still quite an achievement.

    See, here's my only hesitation:
    Ariel Esteban Bracamonte.

See, with the other two guys that stretched Romanov the distance in the pros - no biggie. They're guys that don't really get stopped all that often. Brac, though? Half a dozen losses and literally everyone but Romanov has stopped him (and Dave Allen is the only conqueror besides Romanov anyone's heard of). Now, in the first round Bracamonte was dropped by Romanov, which at first may sound positive...but the fact that he let him a) off the hook and b) hang around for nine more rounds?

Granted our Kudra is a live and die by the sword type and not apt to get cute and run around the ring spoiling like a tomato can desperate to just see the final bell and lose a lopsided decision, but still. Did anyone see that fight? Was there a valid excuse for Romanov's inability to capitalize on smelling blood in the water early? Or is this a sign that he might be a bit lackadaisical if things aren't served up on a platter for him?

Zero votes for either on points. :sisi1

The considered view of this forum is that either way, somebody with the middle name Alexandrovich is getting KTFO! :ibutt

Romanovs defense is not the best. I can see him walking into one of Kudryashovs left hooks early.

Right, and he isn't exactly Speedy González so there's no guarantee he lands first in an exchange. If he doesn't, there's a question mark as to what happens (unlike the reverse of that...if he lands flush with full power on Kudra's jaw, game over). Romanov's chin isn't a problem that I know of, but, Kudra does have that scary power.

yeah, Kudra punches are very powerful for his weight/ size. He does have damn a lot flaws but he is able to punch hard. IF landed.

Yeah I'm hoping it doesn't turn into one of those dull affairs that sometimes occurs when limited punchers are matched up against one another. The possibility is always there but I think chances are that one of them will force the issue and it'll turn into a shootout.

:sisi1 Too many times we've gotten burned with the monster truck rally ad "sunday Sunday SUNDAY" level of certainly that we've got a slobberknocker with fireworks assured that can't possibly reach the judges. Half the damn time when people say that we get uncomfortable long disappointments, so best just to not jinx it. :couch:

Isn't he the guy who brutally KOed Wilder in a couple of rounds?

    Romanov 101kg even (222⅓lb)
    Kudryashov 101.2kg (a hair over 223lb)

Bridger limit is 225lb, as I'm sure many of us have yet to commit to memory.
