Bivol's all like "Where do you think you're going? You can run but you can't hide!"

    lol

Like you said in the RBR thread, it was very impressive that Bivol was still eager to get Romero out of there right up to the end and put an exclamation mark on his performance.

Bivol will return on Nov 4, shaping up to be a good card in Kazan.
    And it's on a Wednesday :p

That's another very decent calibre opponent for a fledgling pro. In fact, it's a very decent quality opponent for a prospect with 4 times the amount of fights as Bivol has had. Ricci is 16-2 and recently upset the then 16-0 former decorated German amateur Enrico Koelling. Ricci only lost on a MD to undefeated WBO ranked #1 Dominic Boesel too. Bivol is just 4-0.

Yep, this is a tough opponent to have so early in your career, Ricci for sure is no pushover. In fact, it may be a little risky even if I rate Bivol as highly as I do. Either way I'm glad they're not wasting time with him like they're doing with Mehkontsev (**** TR).

This will really show what Bivol is made of.

Just had a brief look at him on Youtube and he's no mug. This is defintely a serious test especially considering Bivol's lack of pro experience. Bivol looks a bit special though and so far he's been very impressive. I can't imagine it will be too long before they're sticking him in with top 10 LHWs what with the rate at which they're moving him at.

Ricci is in top 15 by WBA and WBO, good test and this will be Bivol's first 12 rounder.
Wonder if we will see a stoppage :toney

He has been stopped once before and neither Koelling or Boesel are punchers either so I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol did manage to get him out of there, most likely mid to late rounds. Bivol might not be a huge one shot hitter but his shots are heavy and the fact that his competition so far has been of a far higher calibre than the vast majority of fledgling pros face at the start of their careers has probably robbed him of more devasting finishes he would be getting if he was facing the usual cannon fodder that most other pros are thrown in against at the same stage of their careers. I don't know much about Koelling or Boesel but I'd wager that Bivol is probably better even now than they are or maybe ever will be.

Ricci said he cannot make weight (his official excuse) so new opponent is Jackson Junior.

Same guy went the distance with Mekhontsev? Not a bad fight for Bivol at all.
