Great news, the best pairing in boxing. Both at the top of their game, active recently, no injuries due to speeding cars or retinal problems, good to go. Seems early, no Ramadan interference?
Single best win for me from either, Beterbiev over Gvozdyk, real quality. Hugely enjoyable, though, Bivol trouncing the “chosen one.” Could watch that again any time. Thank you for a public service Dmitry!
Speaking of the devil, let’s hope Alvarez’s potential May opponent comes a cropper against Ryder tomorrow. It must be Benavidez in May. Don’t let there be any more Golovkin like delays to stack the deck in his highness’s favour!

TKO 9 by Bivol. Similar to the Canelo fight but more punishment for Beterbiev who will get frustrated at one point. The first time he won't be in control and he will face someone who comes to win.

I think there will be a cut or other injury and the fight will be stopped.

Bivol for the win! I guess Ramadan changes every year. I remember it used to start in February.

Ramadan follows the Lunar calendar and starts a week earlier each year. So theoretically in the year 2030, Ramadan will fall twice, January and December (Hijri calendar, corresponding to 1451AH and 1452 AH which is 2030). Beterbiev will be retired by then so who knows what elite World class Muslim Boxer we'll see in that year? Daylight hours for fasting is very short in January/December so you're not fasting for that long.

If Beterbiev fights bivol and wins in June, will we see Beterbiev again in December at Cruiserweight or is that too soon for the weight gain? perhaps 1 last defence as Undisputed Champion at 175lbs?

The reason it can't be sooner than June is because Beterbiev needs to take time off from training during Ramadan (March 10-April 9). In fact, I'm surprised it wasn't pushed back 'til July; shows Beterbiev's rarin' to go.

The only way I can see a Bivol win is if he successfully manages to copy Sugar Ray Leonard's playbook vs. Marvin Hagler: Stay away from him, show superior hand-speed whenever he gets close ... and hope for some generous judges.

Hope Beterbiev wins but Bivol UD. His defence is impeccable.
