I have to take Bivol on points - there was something about Chad that struck me that his heart really wasn't in the game, and that came to the fore a number of times (especially his 1st ever loss to Pascal), where talent-wise Dawson really should have beat Pascal, but felt Pascal just wanted it more. Bivol I think is very very, good, but he still needs better names on his resume - Dawson has Adamek, Hopkins and Tarver twice which on resume far beat anything Bivol has. But think Bivol would be too smart and sharp and would frustrate Chad causing loss of focus. Today I only see Beterbiev beating Bivol, and that IMO is 50/50 - I can see Bviol riding out some hairy moments to win a decision against Artur.
First of all: yes I'm bias in favor of Chad (He's one of my top 10 favorites ever), but I'm also realistic. The answer is it depends on which Chad shows up. Chad that beat: Adamek, Harding, Mendoza, Gardner, Tarver I or II, Johnson II beats Bivol Chad that beat: Hopkins, Johnson I, possibly loses Chad that lost to: Ward, Adonis, Pascal obviously loses It really depends on what Chad hops into the ring. I break this down, because it's really hard to gauge his actual prime, because he sleepwalked through some fights in his prime, he's also turned up in his prime.
Chad is a fighter with a mythical 1-2 fight prime. He could do well against Bivol. He could also get flattened in a round a-la Adonis or...beat up a-la Karpency...
