Dmitry Bivol vs David Benavidez in talks to fight

Straight after the whipping of Zurdo I was thinking that Benavidez offence and spite and SPEED would maybe be too much for both a 40 year old Beterbiev and a Bivol coming off back surgery.

But then I remembered it was against cement-feet Zurdo who fought the POLAR-OPPOSITE gameplan to what he should have done! And I also remembered that DB couldn't stop Plant or Morrell, and was outboxed in stretches by Plant, and Plant would be thoroughly outclassed by Dmitry!

We will get to see how Bivol looks at the end of the month in his return against Eiffert, that should tell us if Bivol has lost a step or the surgery had the desired effect.

How does Benavidez fare going back to 175 after CW?

Interesting fight, but after rewatching the Bivol/Beterbiev fights again last week, i'm down for the rubber match, and even at 40 id not count Artur out

I had Beterbiev twice. Was moving forward the entire 24 rounds, almost chasing Bivol at times, and landing the harder punches. Benavidez is probably avoiding Beterbiev in case he gets a beat down. He did way worse against a shot Gvozdyk compared to Artoor, who beat him down in his prime.

 

Exactly. The only way to beat Benavidez now will be KO, at least for thr foreseeable future.
