Food for thought: Tavorus Teague was taken out in 3 by Terrell Williams, the Tony Thompson mini-me that fought earlier on the card. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Tevin Watts isn't very special if he's having a messy tooth and nail brawl (which seems headed for the full 6R distance) with him. :think

 

More kidney & rabbit punches here than you'd expect to see in Cornelius Bundrage vs. Ashley Theophane... :!:

 

...and here I thought nothing could surpass the shipwreck that was Soylybayev vs. Araiza for worst fight of the night...

 

Oh, by the way, remember Freddy "El Riel" Hernandez?

Powerful hitter, but very slow? (kind of like Roberto "Amenaza" Garcia, but without the chin?)

Blitzed in two minutes by Andre Berto five years ago?

He fought tonight, buried deep on this undercard. He reportedly labored to a majority decision over a 10-7-1 guy. So - yeah, he's all but done as someone relevant, if anyone had any lingering doubts following his recent six loss skid.

(...which came on the heels of defeating Luis Collazo in dominant fashion in 2011...so for anyone that's still deluding themselves about Collazo vs. Ortiz having not been a battle of shot, ruined fighters, or that Khan or Thurman actually picked up a good scalp in Collazo...think again...)

 

Watts and Teague fought to a draw. Seems about right. Lots of hugging and fouling, neither really asserted themselves.
