Always liked Hot Rod. Used to like Bivol.

That makes this a head pick vs. heart pick case.

He just needs to get out. Great chief support I've heard in Ray Ford vs Kholmatov for the vacant WBA World Featherweight Title. I fancy Kholmatov in that one. Will tune in to watch that on DAZN, and then switch to Sky to watch Beterbiev vs Smith.

Keeping a talented boxer like Dmitry Bivol inactive for more than a year in his prime is a crime against the sport.

Honestly I didn't even know Hot Rod was still an active fighter.

I don't see anyone other than Beterbiev beating Bivol however Bivol not fighting regularly is gonna catch up to him one day. Just not in this fight

Time flies, I didn't realise Bivol has been inactive that long

Sad that he had to waste an entire year of his prime after having a successful run the year prior.

I feel sorry for Radivoje Kalajdžić because he was stolen against Marcus Browne, but in this kind of competition I doubt he could win the title. With Beterbiev, he tried, showed his heart, but... that heart could have killed him; luckily there is a doctor.
With Bivol, it's a different story. Although I'd be surprised if Hot Rod won (and I'd be surprised with a draw).

That's a quality match up, Hot Rod is a very good fighter. He's tall and rangy, he has good skills, a solid chin and he hits really hard too. He's not an easy assignment for any LHW, especially one coming off a long layoff.

Likewise, it's a tough break for Hot Rod that both his world title shots will have come against P4P top 10 type guys if the fight comes to fruition. Outside of Beterbiev and Bivol, I think Hot Rod would either beat the rest of the top 10 LHWs or, at worst, be 50-50 against one or two.

Kaladzic is a very fun fighter to watch and he went toe to toe with Beterbiev and held his own. Well ... for a while. If he's got anything like the form he used to have he will give Bivol a stiff test.
