Nice. As you point out he looks a little frustrated and tired at times against Bacurin when the guy's still there after 4 or 5 rounds and may need to work on stamina more as he ups his level of competition... but damn - even with the poor sound quality on most of the clips you can f#kkin really hear those punches land.

That said, according to my pet Boxrec warrior Bacurin's a very durable fighter having only been stopped before at HW by the US's own Jonathon Banks. My little guy says that apparently Bacurin survived but had the snot beaten outta him by the unfortunately transliterated but apparently rather good Gassiev (now 18(12) - 0) for the WBC World Youth CW title.

Pardon? Yes... hush now! I'll tell 'em but that's enough!

Erm.. Incidentally it also seems the Mwekassa annihilated by Kudryashov in 50 secs is the same one who gave defensive CW wizard Mchunu his only loss.

Dmitry mixes up his punches pretty well - variations in speed, power and placement keep his opponent off balance, never quite sure when or where the next bomb's gonna come from - a little like an appropriately upscaled and slowed down Kovalev, but not as mobile or good at controlling range.

Aside from Boxrec it's pretty hard to find out anything about the kid though. Holder of the CIS/ Slovenian CW title and a coupla minor international straps, but seriously needing to dip his feet in a bigger pond.

Kudryashov knocked out Giulian Ilie today in round 2.

The durable Ilie (20-7) had only been stopped once before, in round 10 by Chakhkiev. His his losses were mostly close decisions which could have gone either way against opponents with good records.

    Yes, and Povetkin.

Having an influential promoter is very important.

Many talented fighters remain in limbo and never succeed because they have a promoter who can't get them on TV and into good matchups.

Good test for him... Think he gets Gomez out of there in the mid rounds.

This should be a significant test for Kudrayashov - despite his age Gomez is still no-ones walkover and has only been stopped once in the last 10 years - by Vitali.

Overall his opposition has been very mixed and in recent years nothing special at all (and his MD loss to Ding in 2011 should raise eyebrows) - but there's no doubting the guy is tough. If Kudryashov can get the stoppage here it will be impressive - hell, even the win will be solid.
