Think Kudryashov was sick or something. Anyway, his power is real. Meroro was never been stopped and lost his legs just after eating a short left hook.

 

He got held 100+ times by a guy just looking to survive in a clinch fest that would make Ruiz proud. Completely exposed, I agree 100%.

Meroro didn't outbox him, he clinched him to death and outworked him with light flurries while Kudryashov was low volume. From the 5th round, Kudryashov stopped allowing the clinch and it was over from there. Usyk would be dancing around, trying to jump in with combinations, it would be a completely different fight stylistically. Kudryashov has a nice check left hook that he used to stun Merero. If Usyk runs into that, I think it's lights out.

The Russian Hammer's fight was not really a feast for our eyes.Actually,it was a quite boring and ugly fight.Styles make fights.No news!
The African showed the blueprint how to beat the Hammer:run,hit,run,hold,run,hit.
The Hammer has bloody devilish pop in his fists,but depends too much on it and tends to try to go for the ko with every single punch.A slick and speedy opponent,a more talented one than today's African challenger,will make the water extremely hot for him.
Sure,the Hammer can k nock out any opponent with a single punch,but I would not bet a single coin on him against Usyk.Thats for sure!:bbb

 

His style is more of a pure counterpuncher than someone like Kovalev or Golovkin, who really go after you with a lot of punches. I think he needs to let his hands go more and work off the jab. He could probably stop people with just the jab alone.

 

That was the most clinching I've seen in a Cruiserweight fight. It would make Ward and Wlad proud.

A slick fighter can definitely give him some trouble, but Meroro wasn't fighting slick. He was clinching every time Kudryashov got close and prevented his arms from moving.

 

Usyk will disorient Dmitry in the ring :think
