So you don't have to earn your shot at the best man then.

I dunno dude, if someone stole something from me I'd go and take it back instead of letting him claim that it is his. But I can't knock Martinez either, he probably doesn't have much prime time left so if he chooses to go for pay-days nobody can really criticize him for that. But also, IMO if Martinez chooses not to go after the belt that Pirog stole from him, then Pirog is a champ in my eyes.

It's not going to happen. Martinez is finding all sorts of excuses to duck Pirog.

Duck? Not at all, Martinez went toe to toe with Williams TWICE when no one else would.

And to be honest, I don't see Pirog winning this fight... at least not now. Up to this point his best opponent was danny jacobs; who was also pretty green.

No money, although pirog looks pretty good.... he's not really a beneficial opponent as compared to mayweather and pacquiao who are p4p 1 and 2

He lost to Williams, and it was a legit loss. Cintron got KTFO by Margo TWICE and hasn't done **** before or since then except beat a sick Angulo. Pavlik was a drunk and on his way to rehab and just BARELY beat a nobody named Alfonso Lopez after the Martinez fight and rehab.

Martinez is all hot air and a pretty face that HBO loves. If you're not Argentinian and you're buying into the hype you're a sheeple.

Because he's a true middleweight who will whoop Sergio's sexy ass all over the ring.

Lmao, look at these fools turning the story upside down when in fact the credit should go to Williams. He fought this high risk, no reward fighter from argentina who's only claim to fame was a draw with Cintron. Williams gave him a chance.

Unfortunately, Martinez does not believe in giving chances :yep

Pirog may not get his chance at all. And Martinez has a lot of excuses why this fight will not be made

Yes because a 37 year old who drew with Cintron was considered high risk.....
Martinez is coming to the end of the road, how could you blame him for wanting a high paying fight with the top two fighters?

No matter how it is spinned, Williams still give him a chance although he brings no money to the table. its not the other way around.

And the top two fighters he wants to fight were not middleweights. And he also wants to fight Cotto and margarito- two smaller guys again and were coming from terrible beatings. The pay he could get from Cotto and Margarito will be less if opts to fight a bute or a supersix fighter at a higher catchweight. Or he could opt to sign for a career-high payday being offered by a Russian billionaire for him to fight Pirog. Wow, martinez has alot of options. i wonder where the "most avoided man in boxing" tag came from :yep
