    I mean, I'm picking Jacobs (a Pirog victim) to beat Canelo, guess that's outrageous too? Since now Canelo is some kind of superhuman world-beater?

    Pirog, but I think Canelo would be more competitive against Pirog than GGG would have been.

    I don't even think so, man. Canelo won't outbox Pirog (he didn't even outbox Golovkin consistently IMO, for brief stretches maybe but not all night on either occasion) and if he tries bullying him it'll be the same result as versus Lara/Mayweather. Pirog had quick, educated feet.

    Could definitely see it......... I think we can all agree we never saw a Pirog that ever fully reached/realized his enormous potential and obviously never got to see the best/peak version of Pirog. It wouldnt surprise me in the least if Pirog T/KO'd Canelo. He was as special a talent as I have seen in many if not all my years of boxing and following the sport and along with Loma and Tyson among the most unique fighters in the last 50 years.

    I'm glad US fans were finally able to get to see what real slickness looks like in the flesh when The Grandmaster graciously decided to mosey on over there to give them a demonstration of it and spark ''The Golden Child'' out cold in front of his home fans. Golden Boy paid Pirog a bag of peanuts for that one but unfortunately for them the monkey they were expecting didn't show up.

    The judges were fixing to rob Pirog in that one too, ensuring that he would be dining on peanuts for quite some time if not permanently.. you know how they do.

    The last fight that Pirog had were his back wasn't a huge issue, was the Jacobs fight.

    Pirog said Mayweather was a big influence on him , he based his style around him he claimed. . Perhaps that is why he was so good , because he fought like Mayweather and not like a one dimensional euro. :sisi2:
