Isn't Pirog dead or has a broken spine? Or fighting in Ukraine?

iirc Pirog was one of the few guys not ducking GGG when Golovkin was on his tear, but he injured himself before the fight could be arranged

He injured himself during training camp for Golovkin from what I remember.

I personally thought Golovkin would’ve destroyed Pirog.

Pirog (next to Valero) is the one that got away in the 2010s.

Where his reign should've been, we instead suffered years of lame Golovkin hype.

    Real bummer.

Yeah, their bout was scheduled for August 25 on HBO back in 2012. Pirog's injury took him out (ultimately killing his career), which led to Golovkin instead boxing Proksa for the network the week after he'd been due to meet Dmitry, and a myth was born...

One very slick boxer. Andrade's a clumsy looping punching fool.

Pirog was a huge middleweight, just like Andrade. He could hit hard when he wanted. Andrade was getting wobbled all over the place by at euro best Williams. Pirog puts his lights out

Fun fact about Andrade’s career that I just still can’t believe is true. Andrade hasn’t fought 1 fighters who’s ever held a world title. None. So Pirog being a WBC titleholder wouldn’t even be a possibility for Andrade. We should be asking about someone who’s ranked #17 in the WBO rankings.

Pirog would've knocked Andrade out cold. Nobody could do what he did to Jacobs

Oh, and Andrade? Pirog destroys him, no question.

I'm not curious at all about Andrade vs Pirog, because it's obvious that Andrade is way levels below Pirog.

I'm more curious about Golovkin vs Pirog, Canelo vs Pirog and Benavidez vs Pirog.
