Rahimov is still attacking. Nagaev is sticking with his gameplan of leaning into him, counter-wrestling and digging body shots. Rahimov keeps pumping his fists up toward Nagaev's face, landing some but missing a lot. Left hook to the face by Rahimov. Nagaev then lands a pair of solid shots to Rahimov's head. Nagaev starts to back up and jab. Wrestling. Nagaev throws a big 1-2 but Rahimov steps away from it. FLUSH right cross to the chin by Rahimov. He has Nagaev retreating to the ropes. Rahimov all over him. Wrestling. Flurry by Nagaev. Body shots by Nagaev as they lean in. Rahimov slaps him in the face with a 1-2. Big flurry by Nagaev but it leaves him open to a big Rahimov cross that crashes into his chin.

Russian boxing crowds are kind of like the Japanese. Very polite, and well behaved.

It's an eastern hemisphere thang.

 

Whoa. Commentary all of a sudden, 4 rounds into the 2nd fight of the broadcast. OK, whatever.

 

Round 4

Rahimov is very busy. Nagaev is picking his shots mostly to the body and landing. REALLY nice body work by Nagaev, working lots of right uppercuts. Rahimov throws some energetic jabs up at Nag's face but isn't getting inside anymore. Nagaev pulls straight back and eats a jab, before leaning forward again and landing more body shots. Rahimov is the one coming forward but he's getting outworked and outlanded by Nagaev's body attack. More wrestling. Uppercuts from Rahimov on the inside. Nagaev keeps spanking him down low. Cymbal-clap from Nagaev. Ooh, uppercut/lefthook/uppercut from Nagaev, a rare headhunting combo. Pair of uppercuts from Nagaev. Very good round for Nag.
