ROUND 1

Pirog jabs and rolls, already using upper body movement. Maciel stays clear of him, circling left with a tight guard up. Body shots by Pirog, lunging. Maciel swats with a few hooks. Both just measuring, feeling out. Lots of feints and misses as they both jerk around at mid range. Maciel walked almost into a corner but runs past Pirog to get back out in the open. Very tight guard and busy, solid footwork from Maciel. Pirog bends his knees and waddles inside to poke through with some body shots. Maciel not answering much but defending well. Pirog keeps switching stances as he comes forward, trying to confuse Maciel. Left upper-hook by Pirog coming forward. Three punch combo by Pirog, blocked. Maciel tries a long right hand but throws himself off balance missing, and then misses a short hook while trying to regain his footing. Pirog has the shoulder roll defense working. Maciel tries to jab him while circling left. Hard jab by Pirog. A couple of upper-hooks and hook to the body by Pirog out of the orthodox stance.

Round 2

Jabs and hooks from Pirog out of the orthodox stance. Maciel is backing up and trying to time straight counters. Long reaching jabs from Pirog out of a crouch coming forward. Maciel jabs high and then gets right back behind his shell. Maciel being very careful, staying tight on D. Pirog comes forward and there is an unintentional headbutt. They exchange body shots. Pirog lands a hook and uppercut. Maciel is throwing one or two shots at a time coming out of his shell and then crawling right back into it. Very disciplined boxing from Maciel. Pirog throws several hooks at him, hitting forearm but backing him up. Pirog sticks his left jab out to line Maciel up. Left hook to the body by Pirog. Maciel is against the ropes but jabs out to hold Pirog off. Body hook by Pirog. They both hold their left sticks out to measure, basically just holding each other in place. Pirog walks him into another corner and digs a left hook to the body.

Maciel isn't looking totally outclassed, but definitely losing.
