Glazkov-Bakhtov is the main support fight, about to start (ring walks now).

Then Pirog-Maciel whenever tihs one is over.

 

Round 1

Bakhtov does a lot of winding in side to side, coiled but not striking. Glazkov is pawing with his jab and backing away. Bakhtov lunges with some rights to the body and jabs high. WTF - is Bakhtov cut already??? From what?? Glazkov has now settled down a bit and doesn't look as nervous, planting his feet to pop jabs before getting on the move again. Bakhtov looks very slow but is applying pressure. Clubbing shots from Bakhtov coming forward, mostly blocked. Double jab to the body by Bakhtov, and then a missing can-opener right hand. They clinch and Bakhtov shoves his forearm hard into Glazkov's face, pushing it back and straining his neck.

Shitty round to score. I guess Glazkov's jab in the last minute and a half was the most effective weapon overall. :conf

 

Round 2

Bakhtov is getting very rough, slamming Glazkov with overhand rights and then pummeling his body with left hooks that have a lot of forearm in them. Bakhtov is just pushing his gloves out to get inside, letting Glazkov's weak counters cascade off of them and allowing him to get right in Glazkov's chest. Bakhtov is cutting the ring off and getting to Glazkov but not punching a lot. Now a body flurry by Bakhtov. Glazkov lines him up with a beautiful 1-2 while Bakhtov is ducking, and digs the right hand perfectly into Bakhtov's forehead. Bakhtov jabs out of a high guard and collides with Glazkov armpit to armpit as Glazkov sticks his own jab out.

Glazkov good in the last minute, but very consistent pressure from Bakhtov.

Round 3

Glazkov jabs and moves. Bakhtov fights him nearly into a corner with his stiff double jab and short overhand attack. Glazkov is picking Bakhtov off a bit from mid-range, landing nice jabs and hooks. Glazkov maintains a lead of a few paces on Bakhtov, who just chugs along reaching for Glazkov alternately with either arm out of his guard. Bakhtov's dark patches of scare tissue under both eyes is inflamed and he could bust like a melon any second. Lots of jabs to the face. Glazkov is basically winning the round with his jab and not taking any punishment for the last two minutes. As I say that, big right hand by Bakhtov.

This time it was Bakhtov who closed strong, but again the attempt to steal the round isn't enough for me.

29-28 Glazkov

 

Round 4

Bakhtov is actually bleeding now, just a bit under his right eye. Glazkov is banging him with jabs and right hands, with Bakhtov doing him a big favor by just approaching in straight lines. Bakhtov keeps trying to hammer his way inside and elicits some shouts from the crowd but isn't actually hitting Glazkov. Bakhtov keeps putting his jab up in Glazkov's face, and their arms keep getting crossed as Glazkov simultaneously jabs down at Bakhtov's face. As a result, they each wind up with a shoulder in their face. Glazkov is very calm, dancing around and jabbing but breathing slightly heavily.

Right eye you mean? They're both puffy but the right is the one that looks like an exposed wound. :good

 

Round 5

Glazkov lazily floats inside behind his jab and Bakhtov punishes him with an alarmingly quick double hook to the temple. It gets Glazokv's attention and causes him to back off and remain cautious. Bakhtov starts sticking his jab, firing with Glazkov whenever Glazkov pulls his own trigger. Glazkov doesn't like this and backs away across the ring. Bakhtov just calmly follows and bangs him with a hard right hand, partially pushed between the gloves. Glazkov moves several paces away and drops his hands, and then starts trying to get cute with his jab from the outside out of a low-hands stance. Bakhtov catches him a couple of times but his feet are much slower and he is getting jabbed in the face. Bakhtov is trying to time the Glazkov jab with big right hands, that are powerful but use a lot of energy. Glazkov throws a quick lazy combo that bounces off the ducking Bakhtov's shoulder. Good 1-2-2 by Glazkov. Another right hand. Bakhtov tired. Stiff jab to the chin by Bakhtov. Clubbing overhand right by Bakhtov as he steps out of the pocket. Glazkov is doubled over in a clinch.

That looked like it was on its way to being a DB round, but then he just got massacred in the last minute.
