Glazkov is just firing the 1-2 exclusively, which probably isn't a bad idea as Bakhtov keeps coming straight forward and can't keep up or get past Glazkov's reach. Glazkov does get lazy, though - and slows down enough for Bakhtov to reach him before getting clinched. Bakhtov is still throwing with power but they're arm punches. WE DON'T NEED A FIVE SECOND CROWD REACTION SHOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROUND, ESPN3!!! :cus

Oh ****. BIG right hand by Glazkov, and then a couple more as Bakhtov just looks spent. Bakhtov drops his arms below his knees and sort of slumps over forward, but still standing, looking exhausted. He might get stopped soon. By the ref or corner or doctor, if not a KO. Too tired, too cut up, and getting hit way too much. Glazkov starts working in a counter hook now, easily sidestepping Bakhtov's rushes and smacking him in the cut right eye with it.

Round 7

They exchange incidental straight shots for a while, each parrying or taking it on the chest. Then Bakhtov rocks Glazkov with a big right hand when Glaz's hands are low! Glazkov is stubbornly staying in the pocket with his hands low trying to prove the superior infighter to Bakhtov. Glazkov is actually missing a lot of his wild hooks, without having space to get off. Bakhtov meanwhile is clubbing him with short punches but just doesn't have a whole lot in the tank anymore. Glazkov gets some space and lands a nice right. Bakhtov huffs and puffs, and then lands a nice left hook to the body. Glazkov backs off, and jabs. They come together and almost clinch but Bakhtov bats Glazkov's hands aside and then jabs him in the face!! Bakhtov misses a right cross followup but keeps pressuring until the bell.

Nice little comeback.

The between-round ighlights show the couple of really clean Glazkov right hands, but they weren't enough overall IMO. Bakhtov outfought him.

 

Round 8 (last one!)

Glazkov lands a nice right lead. Bakhtov is hurling himself forward and whacking away at Glazkov's jowls with his knuckles turned in. Glazkov jabs him on the hairline as Bakhtov tucks his chin, and then hooks off the jab, grazing against the top of his head. Bakhtov lands a jab and partially lands a follow-up chopping right. Glazkov looks shaky!! Off-balance. They wrestle, and Glazkov throws Bakhtov into the ropes. Bakhtov lands a right hand. Bakhtov lands a hook! Glazkov flees!! Here comes Bakhtov!! 30 seconds. Glazkov jabs. Hands low. Looks cocky. BAKHTOV RIGHT HAND!! Clinch. Come on Denis!!!!! Bakhtov throws a 1-2, another, keeps on top of Glazkov, clinch. It's over.
