Round 1

Mundine is jabbing and staying back, hands turned out to slap. McKart lands a right jab falling in. Mundine leans back and slips shots, then hooks the body lightly. McKart is looking for the left hand behind his jab. Mundine backs up toward the corner, arms drooping low to his knees. Mundine leaps in with a 1-2, missing and pushing against McKart. Wild shots by McKart toward the end of the round. Flush right hand by Mundine.

10-9 Mundine

 

Round 2

Mundine is taking a few right hands to the body but maneuvering around McKart and landing lots of left jabs. Clinches by Mundine. McKart clips him as Mundine tries to lean back and get slick with his hands-down defense. McKart brushes him with a jab and Mundine falls in to clinch again. Right hand by Mundine, sliding off past McKart's ear. More pushing and shoving on the inside. McKart is hitting the body a bit. Mundine plays patty-cake with McKart, rattling his left glove against Bronco's right.

Winky Wright is ringside, cheering Bronco McKart (who he beat three times) wanting to see his own legacy enhanced.

 

Round 3

Mundine backs up across the ring and then dives in with a right hand to the body. Left hook across the head as McKart leans back and gets the goalposts up. McKart rolls out a few right jabs, backing Mundine up. A few hops back and to the side by Mundine, unable to stay off the ropes or avoid getting hugged as the commentators gush over his footwork and dexterity. Mundine is popping right hands past the jab of McKart. Mundine is leaning back and letting shots tickle him before darting in and tagging McKart with the right. McKart tries to land on the inside, anywhere he can, to the sides and back of Mundine. A few straight lefts for McKart start to graze Mundine as he leans back. They step together and grind their shoulders into each other. Mundine lays against the ropes and waits for McKart to stop working before backing him up with his right hand. Left hand to the body by McKart and Mundine jumps out of the way. Mundine runs into a left hand to the face.

Close round. Might have actually been Bronco's. :think

29-28 Mundine

 

They're doing a memorial ten count on HBO for one of their employees who passed away who worked on all the HBO Boxing broadcasts. (Paul J. Hoggatt) After that ring walks and anthems.

 

This will be more than halfway through the ten-round distance before Khan and Garcia actually start fighting.

 

Round 4

Mundine has McKart backing up, hitting him with the right hand. McKart is pushed to the ropes and Mundine is opening up. Left hook to the body. McKart in trouble. Clinch. Right jabs by McKart, a bit off the mark. Slapping double left hook by Mundine and a quick right hand. McKart seems spurred on by it, and jumps in with a triple right hook to the body. Mundine slaps him with more hooks to the back of the head. McKart is pushed to the ropes again.
