Maybe he was expecting hometown scorecards?

I don't get fighters who don't give it everything in a 4 round fight.

Ordonio is crude as hell but he's game as can be, I look forward to him upsetting other fake prospects in the future.

lol, turns out the judges are less corrupt than me. I was awful generous to Naqbi in a couple of rounds there.

Nah, Ordonio sucks tbh, t's just that Naqbi is just that ****ing bad. Dude has a straight amateur style combined with no urgency.

Fair points, here is my respectful counterargument: it's not JUST that he took an aging star when he thought he was ripe for the taking - lots of fighters do that, it's an ugly part of the game. Nor is it JUST that he avoided a prime guy who everyone assumed would blow him away - again, nothing new as you point out (though I'd argue Carl at least has the LSC and Donaire fights on his resume). Nor is it JUST him getting rough in an in-fight in response to him getting hurt- again, seen it before. Nor is it him feasting on people he has physical advantages over (risk of the lower weight classes), or that normally watching him fight is like watching paint dry.

It's the unfortunate combination of all the above, and despite it, his ceiling is being an over-hyped mid. It just gives the impression of a guy who cheats, spoils, and then folds when the going gets tough.

The only thing really to be said about Kal Yafai is that somehow 8 guys have to be found for vacant title fights at 118 after Inoue moves up and there's no real reason Yafai can't be one of them.

They should cancel all the fights in the undercard and go straight to the main event...

I get what you're saying. I said I wouldn't go as far as you, even while accepting that your mileage varies some, because I figured there was some kind of conversation we could have there. Chocolatito was his first real shot at the big boys, and he was found so clearly lacking I'd have to wonder about his chances of getting back to a point where he could face a LSC or Donaire equivalent (I can see him being upended at a lower level).
