Good score cards. Ramirez was slow and really didn't bring the pressure I expected. Bivol had quick, clean punching and excellent footwork. He controlled the ring and the distance pretty well the entire fight. I wouldn't say it was a great fight but it was a very convincing win for Bivol. Would be interesting to see Bivol drop to 168 for a rematch against canelo for the belts. A Beterbiev fight would be my first choice but I'm fine with either.

Though it's frustrating, we know that Bivol doesn't have that mentality already. But Zurdo is the guy upon whom it was more incumbent to go all-out, considering how he'd leaked rounds through 1–6. He looked dejected throughout most of the fight and like he wanted to quit at one stage. There's no shame in losing to Bivol, but that was just not a spirited or desirous enough display.

P4P Crawford is clearly superior to Fury.

    Few things.

    • lol at Bivol doing the Sugar Ray Leonard. He would throw those combinations at the end of rounds. He did say Leonard was his favorite boxer.

    • Bivol = Fighter of the Year. This was a domination against the #3 ranked guy at 175lb after also schooling Canelo.

    • Bivol and Usyk embody the sweet science at its best--great defense without 100 clinches and staying on the backfoot.

its a real 50-50 fight, I’m a big beterbiev fan as you can probs tell by my avatar. Most of the time at world level when it’s boxer vs puncher I lean with the boxer but it’s a real pick em fight this time.

but with bivol beterviev there’s a lot to read into witch makes me see the argument for both men but I still lean towards artur.

a big part of this fight with me who can occupy the high guard of the other.

but for artur to win when bivol likes to get off his combinations you can actually see he hangs his chin out in the air but he never gets greedy he gets off his work and gets out but artur will be the first fighter bivol has faced who will quite happily throw with him also I think artur can exploit bivol guard by going head body head once he gets bivol dropping his guard to cover for the body shots he’s got to club right up top also artur has shone he’s capable of landing heavy and stopping his opponents even when on the back foot and he uses a lot more angles of attack than given credit for.

Keys for bivol to win is to offset artur rythmn don’t let him get his feet set in out in out use his lead hand controls and keep artur turning constantly keep him off balance but he won’t be able to throw with artur as much as he did tonight with zurdo.

What do they have in common?

    Otherwordly footwork

Footwork might genuinely be the most important aspect of boxing at a high level

Is thinking you won a fight after getting pasted up and down the ring a trait all Mexican fighters share, or just the ones Bivol whoops in a very one-sided fashion? New-Age Mexecutioner indeed!

Yup, I was thinking that too, he showed no signs of fatigue per se.

I'm wondering what that engine can really do when needed, and that's without tweeking...
