Do all ultra-unorthodox fighters like Hamed and Gamboa get punished sooner or later?

Eventually, their style gets figured out by someone and they get beaten badly (for example, Barrera/Hamed). They are still very exciting to watch.

Sooner or later everyone gets punished orthodox or unorthodox... but I just love when these kids say (not in this thread) that Gamboa is "just another Hamed"... is he another fighter who's going to make a unique HOF career making the boxing world go wild for years until gets outboxed by a top100 ATG? :huh

Gamboa is the ****, end of story. Whether he gets KO'd or his ass beat across the ring like Hamed did, I'm still gonna be amazed at what he does.

Gamboa will be lucky to create even half the impact that Hamed did.

Agreed. Most of Ingle's fighters are very good boxers but have technical flaws that means they get exposed sooner or later.

Every fighter gets punished sooner or later orthodox or unorthodox.

Yes I am aware of that. What I ment is, if they as they arrive at top-notch level, have a ''handicap'' because of their styles.

But some posters already gave a nice view on that, and I think we can conclude that the biggest asset that makes unorthodox fighters unorthodox are their footwork and reflexes.. once that starts to decline they have a problem..
