So what you are saying is.

If Floyd beats a fighter that is ranked higher than Kessler in EVERY p4p list I have ever seen....and Calzaghe beats a fighter that is ranked lower in EVERY list I have seen than Hatton...people will consider the win vs the higher ranked fighter better.....?

    :admin

    Blaspheme.

Even looking at it by my own list (and we KNOW I love Calzaghe).

    #1 p4p beats #7 p4p > #3 p4p beats #16 p4p.

God I half cant wait until this fight is over...you become more delusional by the passing minute. Only problem is, when he wins (which he will), you will somehow take it as proof of his ability to walk on water.

    :-(

even if Hatton beats Mayweather i will not rank him above Pacman. If Calzaghe KO's Kessler then I will have him number 1

The manner of the victory does matter.

Not worried at all. First off, I don't care. Second off, even if they both win, no way do they both pass Pacquiao.

It matters but the quality of fighter matters as well, and Floyd has beaten FAR superior fighters.

Of course it does...but not as much when the perspective ranks of the two proposed losers is so far off.

I will show the analogy in another way.

If Ohio State (the #3 College Football team in the US) beats Kansas (#8 ) by 1 point on a last second FG...but LSU (#3) beats Auburn (#16) by 30 points in a rout...there is no logical way you could make a case for them in the number one slot.

Maybe a case for #2 (depending on what number 2 did as well), but with #1 still beating a better team than #3 did, its just not logical to have them fall in the rankings.

Nope. Don't care where the fighters comes from so long as they are good.

If you're talking about the general public, **** no. Most people don't follow boxing. I can guarantee that the Americans who do know Mayweather would probably find Hatton to be a much more endearing personality. This whining about nationalistic bias on the part of Americans is nauseating. Most people just don't care.

Speaking as an American boxing fan, I don't give a **** where a fighter was born (or currently lives) or what color his skin is. I want to see the best fight each other.

STFU, we need to deport your ***** ass. This is country vs. country. **** your dumb ass judgmental "most endearing personality" bull****. I think Hatton is a cornball and so would most I know. With his corny ass one liners. Floyd is a cornball too, at least he says some funny **** every now and again.

Bro, you need to calm the **** down. While I'm not keen on Floyd's personality, I do support him wholeheartedly as a fighter and think that he gets way too much flack from boxing fans. Apparently, you didn't read my post very carefully before attacking me, so I'll try to explain myself. I wrote that most Americans who are familiar with Mayweather would probably find Hatton to be "a more endearing personality." That was in response the threadstarter's assertion that Hatton and Calzaghe's status as "pasty white Brits" (his words, not mine) would be viewed as a negative by the American public at large. I think we both know that that's a load of BS, and that there are few things that infuriate many Americans more than a cocky black man who has no compunction about telling the world how great he thinks he is. To sum up, I firmly believe that most Americans, if they followed the sport, would be more inclined to support Hatton rather than Mayweather based on personality instead of accomplishment. That's not an attack on Mayweather, Hatton, American boxing fans, or the general public. It's just my opinion as a person who's lived in the States for the majority of his life.

Understand where I'm coming from now?

if hatton beats the p4p #1 after moving up a weight to do it, whilst fighting away from home, and having already beaten a top 3 p4p fighter in koysta in the past, and in his last fight ko'ing a (although slightly over the hill) fighter who had never been ko'd before. how can he not become #1?

anyone who would not put him at atleast #2 doesn't like hatton and is biased.
