No way, margo beat a lightweight that never was. that is not an acceptable fight at this point... ask Paul Williams. Margo would need a win over a reputable WW at this point.

If Floyd and Arum are gonna work together, I highly doubt it would be a fight with Floyd and Margarito. More likely for it to be Floyd and Cotto.

Of course he should and will fight Cotto....Mayweather has a big ego. Cotto is number one contender now, is Arum's top fighter, and honestly Cotto wouldnt be that hard for Mayweather the figure out. It would silence all these pro-Cotto fans making him sound like the second coming after beating a past prime SSM, and an erratic Zab Judah(whom Mayweather gets little or no credit for beating). Honestly Hatton is a harder matchup for Mayweather and if he gets passed Hatton he'd deal with Cotto better. Cotto is methodical, front foot heavy, lacks head movement, and is vunerable to uppercuts and straight punches.....Mayweather would school Cotto....thats why Arum avoided them fighting the first time....he's got the seasoning now there is no excuses

You know, after watching Cotto box the way he did against a fighter who possessed faster hands, I'm thinking that it's now about 50/50. Mayweather can certainly land the right, but I'm thinking Cotto finds a way to land his jab and hook to the body. Either way, it's going to be a hell of a fight, because Cotto will force Mayweather to fight at a faster pace, and throw in combination, and Mayweather will force Cotto to make adjustments throughout the fight.

It's the natural fight right now, and should be made without question.

hey Drew what's up man, hope you enjoyed the fights.

I know what you mean in terms of Cotto's boxing ability. but Cotto possessed the better reflexes. There were some things he did to Mosley that he couldn't to PBF. Mosley has no D for a right hand. it was evident in the vargas fights and more so now. i was surprised as Cotto seemed a lil slow of foot to me compared to the Quintana & judah fights. Cotto is there for the straight right hand of PBF, PBF will control the distance of the fight. if Cotto tried to box with PBF i feel he loses and that jab will get nullified by a right hand over it. Lastly PBF has the better stamina, and i think he could up the pace on Cotto when cotto tries to coast.

I was impressed by Cotto's chin in this fight and had him winning 115-113 for the record.

mayweather should fight cotto after the hatton fight.cotto is the guy who has the style to really beat mayweather, not that hatton bull **** but that work cotto has.

that sneaky ass speed he has, his chin is great and that block with his face is bull ****.hes a strong pressure fighter but not a wildman brawler, reminds me of a chavez more of a duran i think.

but yeah if mayweather gets passed ricky then he should fight cotto or retire.then odh rematch is wack and theres no one else.i mean i wanted him to fight shane but since cotto beat him then he might as well fight cotto.

no bigger name then cotto right now then hatton and hes already fighting hatton, so cotto should be next or just call it quits.

you know what...im a mayweather fan of course but i have a feeling he still goes for Sugar......remember.....Zab losing just before there big fight meant nothing to him as he still went after Zab....i want to see Cotto vs PBF i really do but something just tells me it might not happen UNLESS Cotto gets bold and calls PBF out like Hatton but that wont happen thats not Cotto's taste.

No way in hell Floyd will fight Shane. That fight wasn't even a sellout, and Shane's lack of drawing power was the reason. After years of poking fun at Cotto for fighting his leftovers, how could he turn around and fight Cotto's leftovers? This fight will never happen. When Floyd fought Zab, there weren't any other viable options.

your overlooking one important fact, Fraud is scared shiitless of Margarito. 8 Mil and free agency couldnt get him in the ring, he'll never man up to this fight. NEVER.

If Hatton beats Floyd (unlikely), Oscar will close out against Ricky next May.

IF Floyd beats Hatton (likely), I would like to see Floyd /Cotto next May.

Who would that leave for Oscar?

your looking at it backwords . . . its DLH who can have his pick of any of these guys. . . If he chooses Cotto, then its - who would be left for Fraud. Cintron would be a good choice if he gets by PW.

Cotto's more likely to fight Oscar than Floyd in May 08, provided Floyd gets past Hatton.

Arum and Floyd hate each other, while Arum and Oscar are at least working together business-wise.

If you're Arum, would you rather your guy fight Oscar for more money and more exposure or Floyd for less money and less exposure.

Cotto will just say "I'll fight whoever they tell me to".
