Do any GGG fans think he could have been competitive against the following:

I'd say so. I wouldn't pick any 160 lb against a prime RJJ.

That being said, he wasn't prime for that long.

I know lol it's just the nature of boxing,if one gets cracked hard and gets knocked down or out it doesn't mean "glass jaw",I like the MMA model as the fans truly don't care if they lose as they all face each other,I get sick of seeing fans robbed of fights because a guy who's had a loss already has to go through the pointless re building phase.

Probably competitive with most to be honest but it's hard to say with certainty as he hasn't had that level of comp to truly compare with.

I would pick him against Duran at MW though, which isn't as bold a statement as it sounds initially. I think at 160 GGG would be too strong for the much smaller Duran. I'd give him a decent shot against B-Hop too actually.

I think he's competitive with anyone at the weight.

Doesn't mean he'd go unbeaten against everyone, especially with how historically stacked 160 is, but those who beat him would still know they were in a fight.

Look at the love 160 pound Roy gets, though. He beat two active top 10 middleweights: Hopkins, who himself hadn't beaten a ranked contender at that point in time and would need another 2 attempts to become a champ two years later. And Tate, which was his real hallmark win at the weight IMO. That's the middleweight win to hang his hat one even though history has revised the Hopkins win into looking way better because of what Hops would ultimately become.

I rate Roy as a hell of a matchup H2H at 160 on what he could've done, but resume at the weight isn't what supports it. What he did at 168 on up (which was really incredible work) doesn't factor into it, the same way that Manny dismantling Cotto at welterweight doesn't factor into his H2H ability at Flyweight.

Based on that, it's only consistent for people to rate Roy highly at 160 to also rate GGG highly there, too. I do because of dominance and that they both pass the eye test.

Not very sure he'd be competitive with most of them, the outcome of Jacobs and a Canelo fight would be a bit more helpful. However, I can confidently say that Brook wouldn't look good in spots against any of them.

He probably beats Duran, Sugar Ray, and Hearns (BIG maybe). Loses to Roy Jones, Hopkins, Toney, and Calzaghe. I'm assuming we're using prime versions.

What are you basing his getting KO'd on? Simply looking at resume I take it?

Are you capable of posting like an adult FFS? Or does sounding like an *sshole know-it-all fan suffice for your level of participation here?

Well stated. The level of over-analyzation and hyperbole most use here just takes the wind out of any decent discussion. And that's not even including the obvious troll here.
