Yes very good post and indeed the eye test does count, people wanna rate these guys at the top and rightly so but let's not pretend their every fight was against the best as that's just nonsense as historically the big fights are just that and in between its all about beating those you're expected to beat,Hagler is a good example of that but it's more convenient to remember him living in a golden age,the difference between the best and normal boxers is the best not only step up in big fights but against those they expected to beat they do it so easy and for those that think Brook looked good theyed be right but it still only won him a round which is better than anyone else of late.

Totally and it seems to have happened over the past few years so instead of just the one troll who keeps getting banned there's now a whole plethora of em,it's almost like they don't enjoy boxing themselves?

Competitive vs? Easily! In fact he'd likely beat some of those names.

    This.
GGG as well as everyone on that list are great fighters. Does he win all of those fight, I don´t know. IMO it depends on the fight night, who performs better. Everyone of those names have had great and poor performances at their prime. Plus Calzaghe hasn´t fought at 160, we don´t know if he could perform at 160. Stylistically, I would give GGG edge against most of them.

I get where you coming from but it seems like your comparing Roy to GGG. Uhh Uhh, no way should you compare a living proven legend to someone that's at the end of his career and still hasn't fought an elite fighter.

A better comparison (minus the popularity) would be Mike Tyson, sure he was an exciting fighter but will never be a living legend. Great KO's and very exciting to watch but no great wins.

The assumption in this hypo is everybody is in their prime (including ggg) and not awoken in the hospital from a drug induced coma and told to throw on 10oz gloves

We all know ggg beats a 50 year old Roy Jones
Again, if everybody is in their prime I can't see ggg winning not a single god damn fight. I see him losing by ko, tko or a very substantial margin via UD

I agree that would be a better comparison, but it is still flawed in that Mike was much younger than ggg when he became champ. Also, instead of mike dropping weight to be a cruiser he manned up and fought people that had 40 and 50bs weight and a 6-8" reach advantage over him in many case

People saying that Hopkins loses to GGG need to watch the Hopkins vs Pavlik fight. Pavlik had 30 KO's 88% KO ratio but we all know what happened. We can make a strong case about Pavlik having better fights than GGG. Hopkins offered to fight GGG and guess what, you could only hear crickets on the back ground.

Why didn't he pull a Lomachenko and come out fighting highly ranked opponents. Why did he have to start on the ground floor again given his phenomenal amateur record? OK, so lets say he had bad management. He can have 4-5 tune up fights and immediately step in the fire, but he didn't.

You're right, I was just making a resume and quality of fighters in their careers.
