That a final fight with Pac could only end badly at 140? It seems like a bit of a lose lose situation for Marquez at this point. I don't think he will carry weight as effectively as Pac and probably couldn't handle super fights with Floyd, Hatton or Pac at 140. If Pac knocks out JMM in a third fight at 140, it will hurt JMM's prior achievements in their first two fights in which many fight fans have him unofficially ahead. 1. What route would you like JMM to take? 2. Could JMM handle a fight with Pac or Hatton at 140?
personaly i have stated before a move up to 140 for hatton i do not agree with i feel hatton will have a big advantage in the power i only came to this realisation after watching the juan diaz fight for a final showdown with pac it is has to be done i would much rather jmm stays at 135 until the fight with pac gets made, but marquez wants the big money so it looks like 140 for him (cant blame him) if he stayed at lightweight there are still some big fights to be made just not blockbuster like hatton or mayweather
I've said it in other threads.....I really feel that Pac is going to lose his head with the grappling tactics of Hatton and get into an ill advised war with him. No only do I believe Pac will lose, but in all honesty I want him to lose..... I'm one of the few JMM fans that dont want a third Pac fight to happen....... Most of you know how I feel on how the first two fight went..... .....I feel not much will change in a third encounter.....JMM will win 8 or 9 of the rounds, and with or without a knockdown, will fall once again on the cards in a sport that hands over victories to the more popular fighter. For that reason, I'd prefer JMM get a shot at making history at 140 lbs by becoming the first Mexican figher ever to win titles in 4 different weight classes...... ....what better way that to make that attempt against the top dawg at 140 lbs for awhile..... Hatton imo would be a more difficult task for JMM at 140 lbs than would Pac, but he'd have a much better chance if it went to the scorecards at getting treated fairly vs Hatton. I truly believe this.....there is nothing bogus about it....the only way that JMM gets a decisions agaisnt Pac is to dominate (not just win the rounds) but dominate 9 rounds of a fight with Pac..... That would be a tall task for any fighter. I'm rooting for a JMM-Hatton fight, and an opportunity to be treated fairly in JMM's quest at history! Btw, I've alway felt and said that the technical figher just about always has the advantage when moving up in weight. JMM imo will carry 140 lbs just as well if not better than Pacquiao!
JMM, Mosley, are the hottest boxers right now.. Khan needs to whip one more guy hell im half asleep..`
JMM is the best P4P fighter in the world but i dont want to see a third fight with Pacquiao up at those weights - it would be a mismatch. Having said that, JMM has started showing signs of slipping. What a surprise that Pacquiao now decides to call him out....
I don't care what weight class they fight at - they make some good ass fights. I don't even care who wins - I just want to see them fight again. Now if I had to pick a winner - I would go with JMM. **** - without the KD's he wins both of the first two fights and his come back win against the Baby Bull was better than Pac's win over De La Hoya - in my opinion. I just hope that this fight happens again.
That is part of what i am asking though. Lots of people (arguably a majority?) give JMM the edge in their previous two fights. However Pac showed he was very comfortable at 147, coming in over the limit on fight night and showing great conditioning and overall performance (be it against a shell of ODLH). JMM on the other hand seems to show the effects of the additional weight at 135, being hit a lot more than usual and hurt by the solid but not big punching Diaz. Pac would likely come into the ring in a fight at 140 with a weight advantage over JMM of at least 5 pounds (of muscle) and experience from fighting at a higher weight. He is definitely going to be punching harder than he was at 130, and JMM isn't getting any slicker. In my opinion, a JMM win wouldn't be very likely (and a stoppage loss a significant risk), which might taint JMM's unnofficially gained legacy from the previous two fights. Just curious if anyone else is worried that a third fight might not indicate who was truly the better fighter in their previous two fights.
atsch sounds like JMM crying after he fought pac.. Just accept the fact that your boy got knocked down 4 times in two fights... It was a really really close fight and could have gone either way but knockdowns do play some big factors on boxing.. And do you truly believe that jmm stands a better chance against hatton than pac? Please tell me that it's not what you meant. Because style makes a big difference. With JMM's style, hatton would run over him.
