    Joe Gans
    Sam Langford
    Harry Greb

Also if not, how is it you're able to accurately class them P4P wise?

Because we have their rescords and film of their opponents.

There is film on Langford and Gans, check youtube it´s there. There is only some sparring video of Greb and it seems he is clowning there more than everything else.

Gans has quite a bit of fight footage. Langford has some.

    Greb--no.

But how can you hypothetically match them against modern opponents, etc. If you've never actually seen someone like a Harry Greb fight? An analysis of a fighters strength from an(often partial and nostalgic) third party I don't think is entirely reliable.

That´s h2h, that´s speculation anyway. Speculation should not be part when judging a fighter´s greatness.

This is also my problem when judging fighters with zero or **** video footage... I prefer to leave them out of my rankings rather than give them a high or low ranking, a lot of them are legends that deserve respect but personally, I cant include them unless Ive seen with my own eyes exactly what all the fuss is about.

It's just one of those things. It's not ideal judging them without film but even with film you've got to use a certain amount of speculation and take into account the strength of opposition.
It all depends on how well read you are on the subject taking into account different reports, weighing them all up and you have to have a knowledge of their opposition.
There used to be a time when there was hardly any film available and i'm talking before video.
I spent most of my childhood reading about the old timers though I did get to see some on 8 mm.
