About 90% of what "Pat M" ever posted. I find him hilarious too, and I might have misjudged you here but I suspect you still take him seriously.

 

There are a lot of trolls in this classic forum though. I only highlighted "Pat M" and "Seamus" (a part timer troll) because they have fun with fighters of the Dempsey era.

 

This was my favourite "Pat M" statement, when I still took him semi-seriously :

I think it is hilarious. Someone talking as if a knowledgeable observer of the finer points of this sport, starts off by saying Schmeling looks five or six inches shorter than Baer.

This is fairly outrageous too.
Not bad, maybe not vintage "Pat M", but not bad at all.

 

In truth, I don't know what people really believe but I suspect the likes of "JohnnyB" and "Pat M" are full-time trolls. One was crude, the other more sophisticated.
there is, of course, the possibility they really believe what they write, but that is unlikely, isn't it?

 

Kevin, Seamus, do you find it flattering or do you find it strange (creepy) that there are two, I assume adults, with about 60,000 posts between them who follow us around on this message board and even remember what we write? Even though they have almost 60,000 posts combined, they are Gray Men, I don't remember anything about them or their posts.

Maybe we should be flattered that what we write means so much to them, but it seems strange that they catalogue and remember message board posts. I don't want them to think that I'm not flattered or appreciative, especially since I recently saw an old movie about a person who was obsessed with someone else, it was Play Misty for Me.
