I know what that's like. It's insanely annoying to be at a sporting event and have it ruined by somebody drunker than you.

I used to go to all the gyms and fight cards in NY in the 70's to the early 90's and was a staple at Madison Square Garden. One of the best matchmakers was teddy Brenner and before cable really took off. I can only imagine what Teddy could do with that tool. I was young but new Teddy through a friend of his and I almost always got my tickets through him. I always loved the amatuers shows because that is where you will see talents and weaknesses and went to many Golden Glove shows. Some weaknesses can be overcome and some will always come out. I have traveled to many cards but have not been in Las Vegas in a long time and I like watching fights in the comfort of my home but there is nothing like the excitement of the crowd and the people that surround the game. I used to hang outside the felt forum before a fight with some of the propmoters and writers, trainers and used to listen to the story's of past and present. It was in my something I loved. Next big fight that sparks me depended where I am at the time I will go

My Father prefers TV he does not care about being there he rather be home watching it on TV. I like going to a fight because you get to meet so many people.

I miss Fight Night at the Forum and events at Olympic Auditorium. You could watch some good fights at a good price.

I always enjoyed the atomosphere of a big fight, and being around the fighters leading up to their fights.

Yey havent you seen that kid Danny Garcia? He is pretty good. He also has undeafeated lightweiht Luis Ramos and once beaten Charles Huerta. I know hes got a few more but those are the first ones that come to mind.

Does he have Saul Alvarez yet? I know he was pumping him up big recently.

They also have some kind of stake in this prospect that looks to be a shoe-in to take Mosley's WBA title if he signs to fight. Petty Boy Freud I think is his name. It's a weird nickname for a fighter but so was 'second to'. I think it's Freud because he gets into the opponents heads with petty boyish ****. Anyway GBP seems to have some kind of stake in this prospect and I think it'll pay off. The kid's really fast and stuff.

Yep. That atmosphere of say those prime Tyson fights was incredible. You can definately feel things in the crowd you simply cannot in front of the boob tube. Actually, there are quite a few times live I can recall during the pre-fight introductions when you knew a fighter just was not going to win.

No I was just wondering if any of you go to the fights. I know it is not like it used to be when there were a lot more cards and chances to go cheaply. But I wondered if you ever get a chance to go at all. I hear a lot about you-tube and just wondered if anyone still goes. Back in the 70s and 80s for me, there were many chances and me and family and friends went all the time. Of course, I had season tickets to pro football back then too and haven't been to a pro game since 1987. Plus, I wanted to see if anybody ever went to the fights back then when I was going.:hat

I'd give my right arm to be able to go back to L.A. and be there from 1970-about 83. All the great fights and fighters at the Olympic, Forum, Sacramento. Plus X, Plimsouls, etc.:thumbsup
