    That´s not following a career. That´s a lifestyle. :deal

Dito. I wouldn´t claim expertise on anything though.

Duran hate. I did anyway, i was highly specialised in hating on this man.

But he has won me over, i've been watching his fights recently and seen a documentary on him and i love his energy! Theres so much raw emotion coming through. Have you ever known a person in your life, who sometimes gets so anger that they cry, but its not a homo cry, its a dont **** with this guy cry? Thats the picture i have of him now. Him and DeJesus trading hooks got me pumped.

Still, his long time, loyal fans on this website i still think are delusional and he's not beating everyone at MW and he did not beat Hagler. Maybe i've been underrating him at WW though!

I'd say I watch a fair amount of Philly based material on a regular basis. I was loving the discussion of Jeff Chandler.

But right now I'm focusing on the Patterson (2nd reign) - Liston - Clay/Ali (1960-1967) in conjunction with other issues during that era.

I have some "expertise" as we'll laughingly refer to it, regarding the 70's...Monzon, Napoles, Buchanan, et al, because that was the decade that I truly got into boxing...well, the mid to late 60's as well..but I'm very interested in fighters from other various bygone eras as well. I consider myself more up on the classic guys from the past than of today's warriors, that's for sure.

If you are interested in boxing's past and the great names from just about any era, and you dont lay claim to any real expertise...you can really learn some **** from the boxing guru's in this particular forum, and that's a fact.

Every living soul should specialize in Scholesery (BA Honours at least). Or gingerninjery as I have now plagiaristically christened it. I'm telling you, it'd bring an end to war in the Middle-East.

As one can tell from the above, I specialize in plagiarism and arse-achingly unfunny jokes.

Nah, I like the fighters that I like without any real level of expertise or anything. Along for the ride, if you like.

There are some people on here really clued up in certain areas though.

Lately my expertise is in making mistakes in what I think I remember in boxing history, good grief.

Basically everyone from the 70's and before, who isn't named Ali, Ray Robinson, Archie Moore or an opponent of Ali.

Fighters i'd never seen fight before reading this forum that i am impressed with and now somewhat a fan of...

    Salvador Sanchez
    Tony Canzoneri
    Willie Pep
    Ricardo Lopez
    Tony Zale
    Mickey Walker
    Jose Napoles
    Bennie Briscoe
    Marcel Cerdan
    Esteban DeJesus

I've seen many HW fights, but to be honest the division doesnt excite me too much. I like speed! And i've been meaning to check out these lighter guys, Saldivar, Jofre, Harada etc.. who's names keep being dropped.

Salvador Sanchez vs Azumah Nelson is now my favourite fight. And i believe Salvador Sanchez along with Ricardo Lopez and Jose Napoles are the three most impressive and effective style fighters ive ever seen, after Robinson's perfect punch placement abilities

Jofre vs Harada I is incredible. Hit it up on Youtube, sit back with a beer or a coffee, and enjoy Boxing at its best.
