I wasn't referring to the fight. I just want to know your reactions if you see something like that. Are you going to say, "Oh it's okay, because it was LEGAL". Or are the tables going to turn and you will claim that there are certain "unwritten rules" that should be followed.

If we are to look at it objectively, the blame should go 30% for Victor and 70% for Floyd. Both of them are at fault.

If Ortiz didn't headbutt him before multiple times then I probably would be more disappointed about it. But since he did, **** him and **** how he feels

The punch was "Legal," but it was a total ***** move. Ortiz was a little ***** too for headbutting, but Mayweather's wrong stands out more because his cheapshots caused the fight to end prematurely. Fighters have weighed in and the only ones who seem to think it's okay to cheapshot are predominately black. Sucker punching seems to be widely accepted in the black community these days. Sucker punching to us is a total ***** move. So with that said Fack Victor, Fack Floyd, and Fack Cortez.

Again Tony, where is your outrage towards Ortiz breaking this unwritten rule with his flying billy goat headbutt?

    Sup, Tony.

What I don't get is why didn't you first make a thread about Ortiz breaking the rules and intentionally headbutting his opponent, yet you sit and write all that stuff about morality in a boxing match and about how Mayweather's behaviour was sickening. I don't get how Ortiz' behaviour, which was clearly not within the rules and with the intention of hurting his opponent, doesn't anger you, yet Mayweather's actions do.

How can you expect Mayweather (or anyone in his place) to act like a sportsman when...

    ^^^

    This!

I am not a Mayweather fan, neither is Kirk, but his post was spot-on and objective. BigReg is a Floyd fan, but he keeps it real. You can't blatantly break the rules and try to hurt your opponent with a headbutt, and then expect everything to be smooth and well.

Ortiz was the one starting all that **** by headbutting Mayweather not once, but THREE times. He was the one who went all lovey afterwards, and he was the one who didn't manage to protect himself at all times. Yet we have people blaming mostly Mayweather for what happened. I don't get that.

I see you say that Mayweather hugged him back over and over again. I re-watched the sequence, and Mayweather NEVER hugged him back.

What Mayweather did was definitely dirty and sneaky, I would prefer he didn't do it, but it was justified. I didn't like what he did too, but keep it real, mate.

PS: Also, I just rewatched the sequence where Ortiz had Mayweather on the ropes and was supposedly landing shots right before the headbutt, in slow motion. Ortiz threw 10 punches and managed to clearly land only ONE, plus a grazing right hand before he got Mayweather on the ropes. The other 8 punches were either blocked or missed.

Umm excuse me.... I understand what you mean about the illegal head but, But I do beleive if we post the video of that headbutt you will see Floyd hitting Ortiz in the face with his elbow ohhh just about a split second before Ortiz uses that flying headbutt....

I mean if the ref isnt keeping an eye on those, **** it an eye for an eye right?

not justifying the headbutt but floyd is a dirty fighter too. what shifts the attention to floyd is that what he did stopped the fight prematurely. he took two clean shots on a "puss and boots" version of ortiz

You know what this is what I dont get, people ***** that this fights boring that fights boring not enough contact...
Some people say if I am victor ortiz I am going to make it a physical fight, use my head....

and beleive me there are post that says that **** from some mayweather fans and now that we get a fight where a kid is putting on some pressure, getting in floyds chest which is really what he was doing early on though he does but I will admit I saw a few of his fights..

its boxing, the blantant one I can understand thats a ****ing foul and its dirty... but fighters do every now and then come into a fight with that kind of fight ALA B Hop..

Cortez was doing his job and taking a point weather time in was called or not that doesnt really matter, what matters is if a fighter goes low on you or headbutts you with intent...

You still must act sportsman and allow the official to work... you dont go up to someone and pretend like your going to be a sportsman and while they are acting sportsman like and apologizing sucker punch them like that...

I understand street justice and ****..... But this isnt the ****ing streets this is a sport Floyd did not keep it that way

Been there done that, infact there was a gif posted some where here where the Floyd fans were showing just how mean Victor was being in there with little boy Floyd, and what do you know a ****ing elbow to the face a split second before that....

They have since removed it since I brought it to their attention..

    GTFOH with that bull****...

I knew one of you would come in here with that ****. Every fighter who was asked about it, regardless of their race agreed that Floyd wasn't really to blame.

So is it acceptble in the Mexican Community to put plaster in your hands? I see people still rooting for Margarito. (who I personally have no problem with like most here)

Is it acceptable in the Mexican Community to act like a ****ing Billy Goat and throw your head into a fighter?

That's not the point bball. Say, what if Pac was the one who sucker punched Ortiz after having headbutted multiple times. Are you going to stand on the same ground you're standing right now? Of course no, you will criticize Pac.

The thing is, his fans are changing their "standards" of how they see things just to defend Floyd. If this didn't happen and you see this kind of punch in the future, you will condemn it.

Floyd burns a bill and suddenly it was okay as long as you have money.
Floyd puts on a racist rant and suddenly it was okay as long as it's a joke.
Floyd beats up a woman and suddenly it's "you we're never a man if you've never beaten up a woman before" (there is a thread about this one)
Floyd beats up a fan and suddenly it was okay because he was invading his privacy.

You see, Floyd is changing YOU. These are the things you will usually condemn if it WASN'T Floyd. :-(

What? Are you ****ing kidding me, man? I have a lot more respect for people who say that Ortiz got what he deserved vs people who try to act like Mayweather didn't do anything wrong at all! Floyd knew Ortiz was trying to apologize yet again. What he should have did, as I keep saying, is push Ortiz away - make it clear that he was pissed about the butts, NOT act like it was all good, THEN start punching!
