    This goes two ways...

There are things most people here would never condemn... Until Floyd does it.

Which one of these *******s would have criticized Pac if he had hit Ortiz after being purposely headbutted like that? None.

The punch was legal and I've seen a lot worse, but still, it was unsportsmanlike, and a disappointing ending to the night.

But maybe it's a good thing that fans are unsatisfied at the end of these "consolation bouts"" that Mayweather and Pacquiao are involved in.

Well let this be a warning to anyone else that tries any of those dirty tactics on Floyd in the future. He's got an answer for everything.

I would actually gain a lot more repsect for pacquiao if he did that. Don't you see some former Floyd haters or people who don't even like Floyd defending him? This is just his fans trying to stick up for him. Most ppl don't have a problem with it.

Once again where is your outrage towards Ortiz for breaking the "unwritten rule" I would have a lot more respect if you blasted both fighters!

As for my comments, the fight was on PBF was posturing to fight, Ortiz apologized countless times already . . . for his breaking of the "unwritten rule" . . . why would he continue doing it after the fight was back on?

I guess it would depend on the situation, but it's not as if that hasn't happened before, some guys don't really play that stuff. That being said if a guy tried to do it three or four times, it would probably be his fault.

Floyd knew he caught him off guard.

And he should have punched him a third time on the way down. **** him.

I don't think you are understanding this whole thing about "unwritten rules" to be honest. Unwritten rules get thrown out the window when someone tries to launch thier ****ing head at you. Unwritten rules don't apply once someone has fouled you so hard that it busted your mouth on the inside to where you need stitches. No, man. Them shits get chunked out the window at that point. **** that.

And if another man tries to kiss me on the cheek, especially knowing that he just did something illegal that could have given me a concussion? If you think that **** is OK then clearly we just aren't going to ever be on the same page with this type of ****.

    STFU.

No one is saying what Ortiz did was alright.

You want to start a thread about it, I would put my name to agree with you that it was a dirty, classless move.

But Ortiz is the lesser personality. He is not, and never will be the face of boxing. He is a glorified bum, end of it.

But Gayweather is entirely different league. Just like everything Mhael Jordan does will be scrutinized, even if he ist going for a pee probably.

Being such, is Gayweather justified to throw a punch when the opponent was not watching? Probably. For all legal purposes and by your cultural definiton of what is right and wrong, as long as he wins, it is alright.

In my cultural definiton of fair fight (even in street fights), that is still a sucker punch.

    So I ask the question...

Is it OK in the Mexican Community for a fighter to launch his head, and then ***** about getting ounched while your trying to apologize for the 12th ****ing time?

I know you aren't the one who pulled that race ****, but don't defend that motha****a just because you hate Floyd so much. It doen't help your point.

lots of hypocrites here. if floyd was headbutting pac and pac suckerpunched him, pac would get burned at the stake by the *****s. the justification would be that this is boxing and it's a dirty sport, headbutting is illegal but floyd took a deduction for it and it's part of a dirty sport. you know how these guys spin things around.

anyway, i don't like hypothetical situations that much. they are grounds mostly to mess up the argument because of how it can mostly be twisted.

I was about to post the same thing . . . lol. PBF was lifting his arm up and that was the "Phantom elbow". This Phantom elbow was want "caused" Ortiz to retaliate and his butts earlier were just "preemptive strikes" LMFAO
