So we should trust your eye? Did you stand next to Pac and measure him? You think he's 5'4" because he's shorter than you expected.
Wlad is usually billed around 6'7" but he has said multiple times that he's actually 6'5", which makes sense if you've ever seen him and Lennox Lewis stand next to each other.
Small guy for sure. I dont think he was 5'2" though - his ring shoes and my tennis shoes might have been a three quarter inch difference ... i am going to try and find a 5'2'' girl and take a picture with her soon as an experimental control without shoes.
Hearns listed his height shorter than he really was for an intimidation factor. He was actually closer to 6'3" than he was to 6'1".
My fist is 3 and a quarter inches wide from first knuckle to edge of the pinky and that looks to be about the height difference between us (though it is slightly closer to the camera). Add another 3/4 inch to my height and I think that's about a three to four inch height difference between he and I from hairline to hairline.
well your fist is closer to the cam, but yea with the shoe difference it makes sense. Btw i just measured my fist lol you got some small hands eh? i know cus mine were 0.25 of an inch bigger than yours lmao.
I've met Tommy Hearns in real life and he is a easily 6'1" now so back in the day he was probably even taller.
My girlfriend's 5' 5". Pac was shorter than her. She even said so herself. We were a few feet away. If Floyd ever fights Pac, he will dwarf him.
Yeah, thin hands and wrists ... It's probably even closer to 3 inches than 3.25 now that I look at it again. Pac's 8 inch wrist circumference are what blows my mind ... probably why he can hit hard and fast without hurting his hands. I think frail hands and wrists are the biggest difference between fit, athletic punchers and non-punchers (Floyd isn't weak, but his hands aren't sturdy either). I can hit hard enough to hurt people if I decide to and I can almost always push guys my size around, but if I want to try to really sting them and go for a KO my hands will get injured.
I've met Hearns too. I'm from Detroit and used to see him in the clubs all the time. He was a little taller than 6'2". I'm 5'11" and he was easily 3 inches taller than me. We are disagreeing about an inch or so but Hearns was taller than 6'1". Edit My mistake, I see you are not disagreeing with me.
Such a crazy height for a welterweight to be. Absolutely insane. There's a pic somewhere of him with a bunch of heavyweights like Holmes and Foreman and some pro football players and he looks bigger than some of them.
