Do European fans think that Holyfield-Valuev was a fix or bad decision?

I had it 114:114 draw, but I have to admit that I found it pretty hard to score a bout where boxers are not fighting each other. I remember the punch stats displayed after 7 rounds counting 70 (or 80) punches for each boxer thinking to myself: isn't that the number VK throws in ONE round?

I love how you think all "European fans" are the same, have the same view, the same culture.

It was a bix IMHO. both fighters were in on it not the judges. I don't go along with the opinion that Holyfield was robbed, neither figher did anything at all offensive, so i can see how the scorecards were as they were.

Holyfield got his payday to pay off the debt collectors, Valuev got to keep the belt and ????.

valuev didn't do anything in the first five rounds, so the score would be 5-0 holy or 4 rounds holy and one even. in the later rounds valuev wasn't hitting the target much either, but he was the aggressor and showed some kind of ring generalship. still fields won at least two of the later rounds which should have brought him a decision. but i knew that this decision would come, if you want to take a title from a german team you have to win more decisively.

I can actually see the logic in people saying it was set to give Holyfield a rematch and another, better, payday rather than just a one-off.

But I prefer to believe that Holyfield wouldn't do that.

So I go with poor judging, of a poor fight.

I think it was to sell a rematch. Valuev is doing everything in his power to avoid unifying against the Klitschkos and this drags any Klitschko fight even further into the future.

You design lousy polls... a bunch of the options overlap one another...

Holy earned it and was robbed by judges
    The fix was in

People can think both things, but are only able to choose one, splitting the votes. Don't make any applications to Environics.

116:112 Holy on my card, eventually 115:113... but, it was a crappy fight. Neither of them deserved the title. Let's just give it to Chagaev or vacate it...

Whilst Holyfield won the fight (clearly) he didn't deserve to be proclaimed as world champion.

After all, the whole idea of becoming a world champion in any sport (either team or individual) is to beat a good level of opposition before beating the best.

Holyfield hasn't beaten any top class opposition since he lost to Lennox Lewis.

The title should be declared vacant, with Chagaev and someone else fighting for it.
