To me the fight pretty much put the kibosh on the theory that Floyd has problems vs Southpaws, he fought an elite, young, fast, strong 164 pound southpaw with one punch KO power, and pretty much dominated Ortiz from start, to finish, while slipping punches, showing adjustments to his shoulder roll defense to incorporate vs southpaws.

Floyd had a solid showing, still showed he had the fastest hands at ww, and walked down the bigger fighter, IMO he has concuered the south paw stlye.

    What are yall analysis?

The only point you have is that Ortiz is young .

He is neither fast , strong or elite.

Dont even begin to mention Pacqiaou when discussing Ortiz .

Both Southpaws , but worlds apart in every other department.

Ortiz is defintely fast and strong especially at this weight. However, he is not elite at this point.

PBF's trouble with sothpaws is a myth used as tool to try to discredit PBF and find a weakness. The truth is he can fight he can fight effectively against both southpaws and orthodox fighters.

Im not sure how you can say that , his only fight was against Berto who was almost beheaded by Collazo.

Prior to that he looked slow against Peterson and weaker than Maidana all at world class level.

People underrate Ortiz speed because he is a brawler, but as far as Manny goes he simply is too short and with his great reach disadvantage, he cant consistently catch mayweather with punches, he will get jabbed and countered to death. At this point I feel he would have no problems with Pacquiao, only Martinez poses serious treat to Floyd.

pacquiao would ass **** mayweather. the guy gets rattled easily just look at that 4th round he got scared to death when ortiz cornered him. *****s dont bet your house for floyd there is a reason why a blackman would ask an asian midget for ost and didnt ask his previous 40.

there is a doubt in floyd's mind he gets rattled everytime they mention pac on him.

    LOL

I actually thought Floyd didn't look as good as usual. He missed much more than he normally does, but that might be because he raised his punch output. He also seemed slower on his feet. I'll have to rewatch the match at some point.

Floyd is known to increase the output vs southpaw, and employed the right strategy for a fighter like Ortiz, to keep Ortiz from crowding and clubbling him, he walked Ortiz down frustrating him by making constanly worry about flickering jabs peppering him, and missile straight rights thrown whenever they presented there self, whether landing or not giving Ortiz with something to constantly think about.
