Do fans overreact when a fighter lose? I think some fans overreact when a fighters loses by saying like stupid things like a fighter is done after losing a fight. Some of the best fighter have more than 3 or 4 loses and there still top fighters.

When its a fighter they really like, a bad decision or a fight that should've been a draw, or someone they put money on, HELL YEAH!

yes fans (not all obviously) overreact when a fighter losses. Whats sad is people fail to listen to themselves, here are just some of thing things some fans say (lets use the recent cotto loss):

Cotto is done. wow the guy is 0-0 since the loss and hes done. how so?
Cotto is overrated and garbage. Margarito beat a overrated and garbage fighter so what does that make margarito? fans including margarito fans are taking away from the mans best win by saying such statements.
Cotto was exposed maybe, but what happened to the classic "The better man won" perspective.

again it goes on and on the same people said that about margarito when he took the L to williams.

I am ricky hatton fan,but never viewed him p4p top 5-8,a very good fighter with alot of heart and if he catches anyone with a body blow right then they are in trouble, but as as i stated not right up there with the p4p of this era.I wasnt a member/reader of this forum before the mayweather fight but i would hazzard a guess that alot of posters will have picked hatton in this fight.he got beat fair and square, but he wasnt as bad as some posts that i have read on here since i joined.Mayweather commented on how ricky was the hardest hitter he has faced(not bad for a lww)he was beaten by the undisputed p4p best,ok so wasnt at his best last time out but is there a better example out there of fans of boxing overreacting of a 1st defeat lately!!??

Yes, I love reading this forum RIGHT after a fighter loses...For instance, talk of Cotto's career being over was rampant, VERY rampant in the following few days following the fight...Now however, with time, the forum has regained its sanity

Definitely. In recent months Paul Williams and Tony Margorito have both been written off as overrated bums after recent losses. Both have had big wins since, and redeemed their careers, but if you listened to some so called fans, you would have figured their careers were over after their losses. The same thing is happening to Cotto now.
