Stanley Christodoulou who corruptly scored the fight 118/109 last night was the WBA appointed judge (Trout's world title governing body).

If they receives a flat fee for fighters holding their title it makes no sense, but if they are paid a % then obviously it'd be in the WBA's best interest to have threat strapped around Canelo's waist

I believe there is a 3% sanctioning fee but I think this has been reduced when a number of fighters stopped fighting for belts so that they don't spend pointless money. I think the orgs then began introducing Silver belts etc to make less of a fee but from more sources.

I think it's a % of the purses. I think you also have to buy the belts and may even have to pay fees if you don't defend your belt at the time.

Different orgs have different rules. I believe for most it's a % until a certain number and if the purse is more than that then a set fee. People like Pac and Floyd aren't paying a percentage on a $20m+ purse.
