Do most professional fighters run?

    Right, so you don't have to run if you can get cardio-fit in a different way, then. And all this talk about the discipline it engenders is a red herring.

    Do your roadwork it help you so much in the fight´s. Best way to build stamina, in my opinion.

    Running is essential. All real fighters do roadwork. Running provides significant physical and mental advantages to a fighter. If there is a successful pro that does include roadwork as a key to their conditioning program, that fighter is a rare exception.

    There is a reason why successful fighters run - it works!

    stairmaster on the right settings is harder than running. when i started boxing i never ran, just stairs and increased the difficulty. when my trainer put me on the treadmill.. he never did it again because it was too easy. i think shadowboxing and heavybag work is more relevant.
