Paul Williams and Kermit are gettig ready to get it on....let';s not discard Cintron as of yet, in similar fashion many of you guys discarded Cotto against SSM...I like Kermit by KO on that one....Paul is to agressive and come in open ...Margo caught him but never flush, I will say that PW showed a good beard against Margo but I still think that Kermit will KO him...

i like both fighters, but im picking cintron becuase hes got power and his skills have improved alot lately. I like paul williams though. His non stop barrage of punches in exciting to watch. Either way it should be a great fight that im looking forward too.

Good point, Orishman, and you know me as a Berto fan think that Cintron may be the most dangerous man out there, at least for him.

Williams though has an endless amount of stamina, throws at least 100 punches a round, has great handspeed, and moves very very well.

While Williams seems to lack power, he makes up for it by volume and movement. Cintron is going to have to take a lot of punishment to get to Williams to land his powershots, and I'm not entirely sure that he's prepared to do so.

He'll also be the shorter man, so this leaves Manny at a loss, considering he loves to work with taller fighters and clinch, sometimes excessively.

I don't know, I'd like to see Cintron win because he's the more exciting fighter, but I'm not sure that anyone at welterweight can beat Paul Williams, including Floyd.

You saw how Williams handled Margarito, and I know that despite his opponent, you saw how good Margarito looked on the Cotto undercard. His punches were straight, his speed was there, and he some beautiful uppercuts, (even though these are about impossible to land on Williams).

And you saw the way that Margarito was blocking shots, and Margarito is not a guy that is afraid of punishment. If Paul did that to him, don't you think he could do it to Cintron?

Although, it is possible that Cintron may hit him with a big shot. If anyone has 1 punch KO power at welter, it's Cintron.

I can see that happening. i think Cintron would knock Cotto out for sure. What do you think of that O-man?

I am picking Paul Williams in this fight (by UD or late TKO), but I will not count out a Cintron win because of what you said. He has the power to knock out just about anyone and his right hand, although not as hard, brings back memories of Tommy Hearns. Could he catch Williams early, hurt him, drop him, and follow up? Yes, but I wouldn't bet on it.

orishaman....a.k.a. the guy who never picks against a puerto rican fighter:lol:

anyways, cintron went life and death with estrada.

cintron may have the better one punch power, but williams has the better chin and hits pretty hard also.

and he has a much higher punchoutput.

p.s. cintron has a dog in him (remember margo fight)!!!!

he seems to have inproved recently..........but i say that has more to do with the fact that he has faced only second raters since the margo fight.

williams will beat him up and cintron will start crying again.

Cintron breaking down in the fight with Marg had nothing to do with the fight with marg. that may seem silly, but it is the truth.

there was a lot going on around cintron and his camp, even beyond the injurys and 4 week prep time, before the margarito fight. the fight before margarito with teddy reid was an extremely rough fight and cintron handled it just fine. and teddy reid hits a lot harder than marg does, plus he cheap shots you (or twists your shoulder and throws you into the ropes, like he did in the fight with cintron). Cintron dealt fine with the pressure from Estrada and suarez as well. Basically, had there not have been such a storm of things going on in cintron's life at the time of the marg fight, the fight would have been a lot different.

Manny stewards secluded training camps are good for cintron, as he can focus himself completely on the fights.

It's possible Cintron will beat Williams due to styles. However, even if that were the case I still think Williams would win clearly over Mayweather.
