Henry is just an unproven clubfighter. Sure! So if he blows Diaconu out of the water, Diaconu was an even worse clubfighter, right?

Henry is a puncher - that alone makes it dangerous. He's never been down, has he? Puncher against puncher - anything can happen! We'll see how good Henry is - on Saturday. But at least this guy's got guts! :yepAnd he makes more by fighting Diaconu than Dawson has ever made in his life too! So...he's not so dumb either...

I think the Shark needs to fight the Latin Snake.

    the Hype would be deafening.

I attended about 20 Diaconu fights live, and I can see a great progression in his skills, speed, power and most of all, his will to become a true champ. The fact that he trains daily with Interbox's trainners also the belt around Bute's waist pushes him to motivation. You may think we are all crazy or clueless about boxing, it's your right, but people here in Montreal see it otherwise. We know the guy well enough to tell the world that he is something special, just open your eyes.

I taught americans, who knows boxing way better than everyone else, liked such type of fighters that have power to rip your head off, like a young Tyson. I know Diaconu is no Tyson ( experience and opposition wise ) but try to be open and tell me that this guy can box.

If you can't say that, it may be that you have your head up your ass or you just can't imagine a non-american to be great!!!

Diaconu is not more hyped than Bute was, when he took on Bika. He's a contender. Unbeaten contenders get hyped, especially when they are explosive punchers. Just look at Lacy! Wasn't he hyped? If Henry takes him out, the hype will subside; some Dawson fans will breath easily again and say: "Pff! We knew all along Diaconu was just another hypejob! Dawson would have destroyed him. Of course Dawson didn't duck him! What was there to duck? This guy's a bum! I'm glad Dawson didn't waste his time with him!"

But they would be wrong...you cannot rewrite the past...:-(

What are you talking about, a lot of my all time favorite fighters are NOT American.

See, the differance between me and you is that I don't give a **** where a guy is from. I can be a fan of a local guy, but that doesn't make him better, I know this, I keep things in perspective.

You can't. You want to believe so badly that your guy has to be great because you live in the same place as him. In the end, it doesn't mean ****.

Lacy, as much as some hate to admit it, was a Champ.

You are the guy that looks over me as being subjective, you are telling me americans know more about boxing. See, where I live just gives me a better seat to evaluate the guy, I just want you to give Diaconu attention because you might like him if you do. Me, I'm a french canadian, open minded guy, and I could'nt care less where a boxer is from.
Just make the trip this summer, and find out for yourself, Montreal is a place where you can be free from religion or race issues or all the other bullshits that make men unequals. If I hype Diaconu so much, it's simply because he's my favorite boxer, not because he lives here.

    Peace:hat

Diaconu may just send Dawson to the mourge in that fight, if it ever takes place. He has no chin. Those shots by GJ were not particularly that hard imo.

Diacnou doesn't exactly punch harder than Johnson though.

Not only does he punch harder, but he also puncher more effectively. Not least, the way he attack to set up his explosive punching makes him a more dangerous puncher, against Dawson.
