Do people forget Froch went life and death with a shot Kessler?

Noone mentions the fact that Calzaghe fought Kessler in Wales, whilst Froch fought him in Denmark the first fight.

Froch would be 2-0 v Kessler if both fights were in Nottingham

Travelling fighters deserve alot more respect for their achievements, win or lose.

 

Froch actually beats Ward on the social media.

 

Froch even takes Calzaghe in the facebook stakes..

 

The fact that it was a close fight in my view and many others with 2 rounds in it at most.

The punch stats also favored Froch if i remember correctly aswell. So to say the outcome couldn't of been different in Nottingham is ridiculous.

 

It was a close but clear victory for Kessler in the first fight, Froch made up for it in the rematch.

 

I always remember going to a sportsman's dinner in Nottingham when Carl was up and coming and Joe was close to retirement

Froch had been calling out Calzaghe but in reality I don't think even Froch's fans back then thought he was good enough to beat Calzaghe

One of them asked the question "Carl, we know you keep calling for Calzaghe to fight you but do you honestly believe you could beat him?"

A few people laughed. And Froch replied.

"I know lots of people will think Calzaghe would batter me - but what do you think I will say. I will tell you ever day of the week that I think I will batter him!"

And he got a big round of applause.

I saw him last month and he hasn't changed much since then. He was complaining about violence in Britain. He was talking about a white lad who got stabbed to death by some Asian lad ins Nottingham for saying something racist.

Carl said "what's England coming to? A lad goes out for a night in town. He's said something racist. Fair enough give him a battering. But why did they need to stab him to death?"

Anyway I say all this because Froch whether you think he would have a chance with Calzaghe or not is a true warrior. He can take a battering and dish it out. No questions asked.

Whereas most fighters talk about tactics or fighting style Froch is prepared to either get "battered" or ideally to "batter" someone. Proper warrior. If not a proper boxer.

And like McGuigan said in the documentary on Froch the other night. If you were going to war and you wanted someone in the trenches next to you then you would pick Froch every day of the week.
