Do people realize Deontay Wilder has won one fight in 4 years?

he has crazy power based on what ? The only prime decent fughter wilder fought stopped him twice and that decent fighter was dropped multiple times before fighting nobodies.

Yeah, very poor choice of words on that poster's part.

Toyed implies being in control of the fight. Fury lost control early through the cut and a trickier than expected Wallin and started throwing desperation punches while trying to maul and lean on Wallin, similar to how he responded in the Cunningham fight. Wallin was just a bit too physically small and timid to capitalise on this, and shelled up during these exchanges instead of firing back which lost him those crucial middle rounds. He came back strong though and had Fury stunned very late in the fight to close off a pretty godawful performance from Fury.

Anyway, as pertains Fury's chin, it's very average. His recoup abilities are where it's at for him.

Not sure why you're getting so bent out of shape by the "outsize" criticism of Fury. He's persona non grata at the moment. That's the way boxing fans work. If he knocks out Joshua or beats Usyk, or even just signs a fight with Usyk, he'll be back in many people's good books again.

As for your contention that all three of the top four fighters in the division barring Usyk deserve equal criticism I can't agree. Joshua is at least staying active, and would have had at least one relevant opponent on his ledger had Whyte not been busted for PEDs again. And I can't recall him running his mouth or getting in Twitter spats of whatever. So he's above the other two IMO. Wilder is inactive, and wasted fans' time with the Ruiz stuff so he can go smoke a pole (not of the Artur Szpilka variety). Fury though is actively making a mockery of the sport, fighting the very worst opponents he can get, and going around claiming he's Mr Big Bollocks. So yeah, fans are rightly ****ed at that. He's also clearly ducking Usyk, while Wilder and Joshua have at least agreed to fight next year (whether it comes off is another matter).

So down at the bottom he goes. For now.

Recently got 3 responses. One trolling, one very brief response to just one point of many (can't believe that means they agreed to my other points), and yours. In the spirit of "in the land of the blind a one eyed man is king," yours was the best :icon_popcorn: We'll agree to disagree. I'll stay w/my position that while Fury deserves criticism, he's no worse than Wilder & AJ. You can put Snickers Andy in there as well.

Wilder & AJ have been agreeing & disagreeing to fight for half a decade :gayfight: Whether it comes off is another matter is the main point. Who has been ducking that fight? Come on. According to Wilder fans it's been AJ, and vice versa for AJ fans. At this point they're both right ! What we have here is a double duck. Is it even one year since Fury & Usyk have tried to get a fight moving forward? They, esp. Usyk, don't have 5 years. But give them another year. That's nothing by Wilder-AJ standards :sisi1

You make a good point, but I’ve always thought Wilder is a bad stylistic match-up for AJ.

I see his awkwardness and speed coupled obviously with his ridiculous power troubling AJ who can be a bit stiff at times, and has gotten caught and hurt numerous times by lesser punchers.

I think AJ may beat him for a few rounds, but 12 rounds is a long way to go with Deontay…

I just hope this fight happens, regardless of what you think of these two - both guys are DOGS and it’s guaranteed fireworks.

No, he out-landed him easily despite that cut.

The Ortiz rematch was less than 4 years ago and he looked better than I’ve seen him before in the Fury 3 fight.

The Ortiz rematch was 2019. All right..I amend the thread..."You realize Wilder has won one fight in three years and nine months...

    Better?

In three months we can re-amend it.

There was nothing easy about that fight for Fury. Yes he outlanded Wallin, but not by much if you examine the punchstats. And most of that was when he went all out in the middle rounds trying to force a stoppage. Wallin caught most of those on his high guard and I can't recall him getting badly hurt in any of those flurries.
