Well, Marciano wasn't 'Intended.' to make the record. He was an underdog in a lot of his fights. An 'Accident.' is one way of putting it. If you watch a fight like Castillo, and all of the special treatment, corruption, and terms since, unfortunately this was no accident, and was clearly intended to happen. Also, Floyd's level of professional athleticism and training techniques in the modern day is greater than Marciano's. Furthermore, he can very easily break the record by taking an easy challenge: morons will still pay to go see it.
