Do people really rate Roy Jones win over Bernard Hopkins?

    Who had Hopkins beaten at the time?
    Where was he on the top 10 MW list?
    You laugh because Hopkins had a loss but he hadnt fought anyone that great since that loss up to fighting Jones.
    Hopkins seems to have a style weakness to fast two handed fighters his own size, highlighted by the loss to Jones and Mitchell due to size. Sure fighters lose, but you have to look at how good the win was when they start winning and Hopkins wasnt winning against top opponents and couldnt win when he tried stepping up after that at first ask

    This kid knows more about Boxing than Boxrec could ever teach you.

    Roy is naturally smaller than Hopkins.

    :lol::patsch.
    Whats Boxrec got to do with you not being old enough to have seen fights first hand that you try and debate about?

    I think all Hopkins opponents have been, but the point is, when Hopkins gets involved with the ones nearer his size who are fast two handed fighters a style weakness is often exposed

    Roy won because he is the better fighter. Not due to size.

    Not disputing that, but at that time Hopkins wasnt what he became and not as great a win as he would have been say 10/15 fights later.
    Its similar to say when Tarver beat G Johnson in their rematch yet nobody raves about how O Sheika beat Johnson when prime years earlier

    How come 75% of your threads are about discrediting either Roy or Hopkins?

    Hopkins had a chance at a rematch early 2000s but Hopkins didn't want it so.
