I was thinking the same thing. Plus Calzaghe( that southpaw) was never p4p#1.

Ok Calzaghe was generally regarded as joint p4p number 1 along side Pacquiao before he moved up and after Mayweather retired. Taylor was known for great stamina back then and won Hopkins 1 and leveled Wright fight in rd 12. Those who followed sport know. Watch me bump this thread 2moro with my extra V-Cash. Hopkins clear UD.

Of course Dawson has a chance, In fact he's a slight favorite! I think hopkins will pull it out but it wont be easy.

If you honestly believe Jermain Taylor ever had "great stamina" and notable "ring IQ" then there's really no point in discussing anything with you.

    Oh..and *****? Well, **** you too.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell this dude is talking about. Taylor faded against virtually every top fighter he faced and had a ****-poor ring IQ.

No, I don't think that Dawson can beat Hopkins but I think that Hopkins can beat Dawson.

My suspicion is that Dawson will win this fairly comfortably, and a stoppage isn't inconceivable if he catches Hopkins enough, given the recent deterioration of the latter's chin.

I'm hoping for a Hopkins win, but I have a niggling feeling that the Pascal fights - excellent as they were for a then 45/46 year old may have masked his decline somewhat by being an excellent stylistic match.

Dawson is the bookies favourite. so if you're so sure Hopkins will win, why don't you put your life savings on it. You'll never get better odds.
