    Cotto hits harder IMO.

He just refused to go to the body against Margo.

    Styles, it's all about tech.
Hell, Sergio Mora may hit harder than both of them P4P.
but it don't mean he land's the shot's to show it.
    (Don't have the same tech)

(Sorry LS, I had to use some "Feather Fisted" fighter as an example)

Mosley can bang and he hurt Margo several times early in thier fight...Despite what some are saying here about him beatting Margo down...Cotto hit Margo with EVERY ****ING thing he had and couldnt make him take a backwards step..Couple that with the fact that several of the fighters that fought Cotto saying that he didnt hit as hard as they thought he would, I would say that Cotto isnt the puncher that many think him to be.... Remember after the fight with Margo everyone was saying "Oh my god, Margo cant be knocked out, he cant be hurt...No one could stand up to those shots that Cotto was landing" Now that Margo was stopped the talk has changed to "Oh Cotto didnt land his best shots" and "If Cotto could have done this or that he could have stopped Margo in 5"

BULL****, Mosley hits harder end of story.

  5. While there is a lot to be said for leverage it is time to get off that fairy tale. Cintron isn't Tommy Hearns nor even Milt McCrory. He is Chavez, Jr. or less. He sucks.

i see Cotto as having heavier hands than Shane....Cotto boxed and moved against AM, didn't plant his feet and load up alot on AM like Shane did...i say they have about the same power, Shane's speed vs. Cotto's heavy hands evens them out...

Cotto was fighting off his heels while Mosley was fighting going foward...I still say Cotto hits harder, Mosley just committed more to his power punching while Cotto commited to his boxing ability

Mosely hits harder between the two.

Cotto seems to wear you down and goes to the body like a machine, but Mosely can take you out with one dig.

I still don't know who hits harder between the two, BUT....
Your analogy is extremely bad @ best. IF we go by what you said and we see the way Cotto ended up against Marg, then we would have to assume that AM hits harder than Mosley, considering SSM didn't hurt Cotto, not as badly at least.
Mosley was going forward all the time and was landing cleaner punches than Cotto against AM, not to mention that he was able to dodge most of AM's power punches, or any punches, for that matter. Add to that the fact that Cotto had to fight with AM's concrete wraps and you could conclude Cotto's punches were obviously carrying less steam each time AM landed his cement blocks on him. END OF STORY.

About even. Cotto somewhat harder IMO. I believe he hits harder but sometimes can't plant his feet as well as shane, and so shane appears to hit harder. And BTW they both have around an 80% KO ratio so saying that it's "Mosley easily" is a bit exaggerated IMO.

Its a tough one. I wouldn't like to say either way but the above is a great arguement to those that suggest Mosley hits harder just because he KOed Margo whilst Cotto couldn't.

Cotto was fighting of the back foot all fight so couldn't plant his feet and get full power in his shots, especially after the half way point.
