Do people underestimate Pacman's inteligence ?

Yes, he made changes to his game.Shows intelligence ability to learn from mistake and improve very quickly.

 

He's smart. He just can't express it in english.

 

i dont think he is unusually smart, or dumb for that matter. i think he has a natural instinct for combat and roach has done a great job of polishing his natural talent into the best fighter today.

 

Come on. "Extremely underrated" isn't a description that could ever be applied to Pacquiao by anyone with a straight face.

 

He obviously possesses some sort of intelligence, otherwise he wouldn't be P4P number 1, or currently the face of boxing. However, a lot of credit goes to Roach, without Roach, I doubt Pacquiao would be were he is today.
He follows Roach's gameplans down to a tee, but I don't think he has the in ring intelligence to revert to plan B, C, etc.

The problem with Pac's critics and opponents why they all end up being either on the floor or outpointed SD/UD: IS BECAUSE THEY UNDERESTIMATE HIM.

Also, there's a difference between intelligent and wise/smart toppled with mental toughness.

Paulie malignaggi is intelligent.. eloquent speaker, article writer, university degree. But he lost like 5-10x the past 5 years.

Pacquiao is smart/wise toppled with being a mentally tough athlete.
